Job Title: Senior Analyzer Specialist & Instrumentation Engineer
Job Description:
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of all field Analyzers
- Maintenance of Instruments and Control Systems (PNUMATIC, HYDRAULIC, PLC & DCS)
- Working activities and Scope of work:
• Ensure that maintenance activities are achieved at high quality in proper times.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Make full Calibration and checking for all instruments and make sure of doing the work to the fullest.
• Analyzers Maintenance, Startup and Troubleshooting:
- GC “Gas Chromatograph” (Emerson) operation, maintenance, Calibration and putting in service.
- Maintenance and calibrating O2 (YOKOGAWA, EMERSON, SIEMENS), H2S, CO2, Density (EMERSON), TOC (HACH), Silikometer, Moisture (SERVOMAX), Hardness (HACH).
- PH, ORP and Conductivity analyzers maintenance and calibrating.
- Also as Shift In charge, Responsibilities include:
• Execute instruments PM (preventive maintenance) as planned.
• Execute CM (corrective maintenance) when required.
• Conducts Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Software Systems Maintenance including implementing software updates and upgrades.
• Execute field modifications when required.
• Configures Distributed Control Systems DCS (Honeywell model CEE300).
- Worked on Controller C300 with Process Manager Input Output Cards (PMIO cards) and Troubleshooting.
- Worked mostly on Control builder testing the logic.
- Good Experience in Using Data acquisition (DACA), Device Control (DEVCTL), PID blocks.
- Modifying Graphics in HMI Display builder.
- Know the Basics of FTE network and Server Redundancy.
- My System Architecture consists of a redundant server pair, Two Flex stations and Two Console stations.
- Adding the interlocks and modifying the logic when required.
• Inspection carried out for Mechanical completion for instruments fabrication and construction work in plant extensions as per P&ID, Hook Up and Datasheet.
• The above mentioned is carried out with electronic devices used for measurement and control. These include pressure, flow, temperature, level and vibration measuring devices (Endress+Hauser, Yokogawa, Foxboro, Eckardt, Fisher, Rosemount, Siemens, Enraf \[ATG\], …). Also for the other electronically or pneumatically operated devices such as control valves (CCI, Neles, Foxboro, Auma, Fisher, XOMOX, Samson, …), I/P devices and solenoid valves.
• Instruments used: Druck mA source, Druck pressure device, HART communicator, Electronic heater, digital multimeters, …
• Very Good knowledge of F&G “Fire and Gas” system.
- Also Participate in 3 SOLAR gas turbine shutdown as Instrument lead Engineer:
(Pharaonic Petroleum Co. HAP’Y plant)
- Engine Exchange for Gas Turbine "SOLAR Mars 100s")
- PM for Gas Turbine "SOLAR Mars 100s")
Responsible for (GAS TURBINE INSPECTION):
Maintenance and calibration for the following devices in “SOLAR” Gas Turbine:
- Flame Detector, Gas Detector, Heat Detector.
- Transmitters (Analog &Digital).
- Vibration Sensors adjust and install.
- Radial &Axial Sensors.
- Temperature Element (RTD &Thermocouples).
- And Switches.
- All Instruments related to turbine work.
• Witnessing and verifying mechanical Inspection completion for instrumentation fabrication and construction work as per P&ID, Hook Up, Certificates and Data Sheet to ensure compliance with the engineering design and project specification and report QA/QC manager.
• Review QA/QC document like ITP, QCP.
• Responsible for the inspection of field instrument installation like pressure, flow, level, temperature transmitters as per ITP and QCP.
• Erection & Pre-commissioning of Pressure, Flow, Level and Temperature Transmitters & Switches and their Troubleshooting & Maintenance handled in Rosemount, Yokogawa, ABB instruments, Honeywell.
• Erection & Pre commissioning of ON/OFF control valves, Air operated control valves and their position transmitters.
• Supervise the Installation, Calibration and set up of instruments and make sure of its accuracy.
• Lead and execute loop check and commissioning phase performing the functional tests.
• Organization and supervision of preventive commissioning and maintenance act scripts per laying to the instrumentation, electrical, installation in various petrochemical projects.
• Able to configure and troubleshoot Field Devices/ Instruments.
• Reviewing documentation and dealing with main contractors about instruments installed in the field.
• Inspection package units, Testing PU instrumentation and dealing with its Vendors to reach satisfied point.
• Making daily plan for work in the construction plant to organize the work flow and get high performance.
• Dealing with ICAPs sheets for instruments and Punch List clear for site instrument fabrication.
• Ensures contractor’s instrumentation work plans and procedures are followed as required by contract.
• Working collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internal staff.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant authorities.
• Accepting responsibility and a level of accountability commensurate with the seniority of the position.
Responsibilities also include:
• Maintaining and modifying all instruments.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Responsible of carrying out corrective maintenance job as when demand necessary.
• Supervise cable laying, meggering and connection.
• Dealing with Distributed Control Systems DCS (Honeywell DCS, …).
• Dealing with Analyzers and make full calibration of H2S, CO2, TOC, Silikometer, Moisture, pH and conductivity Analyzers.
- Responsibilities:
• Programming PLC and other control systems and make required maintenance.
• Temperature Measurements & Control.
• Maintaining AC Motors Speed Control drivers (Inverters) such as (Siemens, Lenze and Fuji).
• Design electric control panel boxes.
• Maintenance of DC Motor’s Electric Cards.
• Design & execute different heaters.
• Controlling Tape Stretching lines (Extrusion & Winding), Circular Looms, Conversion lines and makes the required maintenance.
Education May 2007 : Mansoura University, Faculty of Engineering, Egypt. Bachelor's degree of Computer & Systems Engineering with very good degree 76 %. Graduation project: Digital Wireless Control To Facilitate And Guide Ships To Electronic Ports with Excellent grade.
