Designated as the main Oracle (10g r2) database administrator for the CMMS application project for the project of Public Gardens Directorate (PGD), which is part of the Abu Dhabi Municipality.
Database administrator (DBA) with extensive experience and supporting next-generation database solutions in Oracle enterprise. Proficient in an assortment of technologies, including Oracle 9i/10g and JD Edwards. Enhance database performance, perform restores, implement recovery procedures, handle performance tuning and conduct regular system backups. Lead role in new system acquisitions and migrations, Troubleshooting, backup and recovery, proactive database and system maintenance, proactive monitoring, security, research and development, all levels of performance tuning. Developed or modified some Oracle backup and recovery scripts. Used Oracle backup utility RMAN to implement Oracle backup and performed a number of times of disaster recovery. Implemented database refresh with the hot backup using DUPLICATE or full export. Implemented DataPump advance technology of export and import and Used EXPORT/IMPORT to do table level and full database defragmentation. Performed database tuning using Explain Plan, hints, utlbstat/utlestat, Toad and Enterprise Manager. Install Oracle Client, troubleshoot and establish the connection to Oracle database through ODBC and ODP.Net.
