Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Management
• Coordinate operations of the accounting department, collaborate with a team of accountants, execute accounting processes and ensure accounting standards are followed.
• Supervise the directors and project manager’s monthly meeting for discussing the budget plan and review the variances between actual and budgeted.
• Handle various projects related to strategic, financial analysis and modeling in support of company goals, strategy and financial performance. Monitor and review the financial statements and performance of the accounting team.
• Monitor monthly closure of books of accounts maintaining accuracy in all postings and precision in beginning balances for next month; close accounts in the company’s ERP system and maintain data securely.
• Coordinate to conduct analysis and drive the key actionable decision. Collaborate in the strategic planning and support annual operating plan development.
• Supervise data entries in the accounting system, verify journal entries, ledger records and accounting heads assigned to transactions and handle accounting for complex international trade transactions.
• Approve cash disbursements by verifying check amounts against the invoices, authorizing checks and wire transfers. Post the entries entered by the accountants and review payments made to the vendors before it is paid.
• Conduct aging analysis (accounts receivable and accounts payable), highlight the collections and payments status for given accounting periods and recommended strategies for rationalizing cash flow.
• Regularly monitor and tally the balances between the purchases module and the GL posting accounts. Supervise the recording of the staffs through the ERP system to confirm that accounting entries are properly posted.
• Monitor overdue payments and prepare CAPEX cash flow expenditures and accordingly OPEX. Manage international intercompany charges through linked ERP.
Internal Control Measures
• Participate in budget preparation and variance analysis, control expenses for the identified cost centers so that budgetary figures are achieved.
• Monitor and verify accounts payable process ensuring timeliness and accuracy by scrutinizing invoices received against delivery of goods and services.
• Exercise a strong control over accounts receivable, ensure payments from customers are received as per the prescribed credit norms of the company.
Financial Management:
• Conduct financial analysis to enable strategic decision-making, provide accounting and financial reports to the management outlining financial position of the company and highlighting cash flows from business activities.
• Perform ratio analysis to understand the exact financial position, highlight returns on investment and provide comprehensive information on liquidity and profitability position of the company.
Operations Support
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, prepare the audit plan, support audit by providing accounting and financial information, respond to audit queries and assist in the preparation of the audit report.
• Scrutinize accounting records periodically, verify the accuracy of journal entries, ledger postings and ensure timely rectification, adjustment and reconciliation.
• Monitor sales and purchases, prepare monthly income-expenditure statements, apportion overheads to appropriate cost centers and initiate measures to reduce operations costs.
Administration:
• Support the management in making crucial decisions pertaining to investments, fund-raising, financing and cost control through detailed management accounting reports.
• Examine adherence to budgetary provisions and compliance with accounting procedures and ensure statutory requirements are met satisfactorily and liaise with government agencies to provide information in case of queries / inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinated for processing and monitoring payments and expenditures and maintained the payroll system. Ascertained that employees are paid in a timely manner and vendors are paid according to agreed terms.
• Recognized discrepancies and made valuable recommendations for resolution. Regularly scrutinized cash vouchers & journal vouchers. Monitored and tallied the balances between the purchases module and the GL posting accounts.
• Verified the bank reconciliation statements and ensured that all the cash deposits are properly reflected in these statements, resolve any discrepancies that might be detected. Collaborated for preparation of cash & fund flow statements and settlement of employee’s salary.
• Obtained and verified invoices and acquisition for goods and services, invoices including (local and international suppliers), for example insurance, products, service providers and others.
• Monitored accounts payable and ensured payments are up to date, processed payment transfer request or checked payment request. Ascertained that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures and contract terms.
• Corresponded with the vendors and responded to inquiries, acted as a liaison between related departments and vendors. Resolved invoice discrepancies and reconciled vendor’s balances at least each month end.
• Efficiently prepared the monthly reports and provided valuable support in budgeting and forecasting. Ascertained full accruals during month end and year end closing. Maintained accounts payable files and assist in month end and year - end closing.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations
• Efficiently provided financial, administrative and clerical services. Recorded & analyzed accrual expenses to ensure that they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis with straight line basis & ascertain that there are no fluctuations.
• Prepared monthly account reconciliations & analysis for prepaid. Coordinated in the recording of payroll with allocations to projects and department wise.
• Coordinated the preparation of suppliers ageing report to track unpaid supplier and pay to supplier’s due invoices.
• Regularly updated the new assets in the fixed assets module & generated the depreciation at the end of every month, transferring or disposing of any changes in the assets.
• Monitor the recurring in the system for all repeated transaction every month resulting the general ledger to clean up regularly and move in a proper way.
Accounts Payable
• Oversaw the accounts payable function, maintained appropriate balance to ensure that all payables are adequately covered in any given accounting period.
• Received invoices from vendors and suppliers, formally communicated with external entities to resolve invoicing discrepancies (if any) and released payments as per the credit policy of the company.
Accounts Receivable
• Responsible for effectively controlling accounts receivable and ensuring timely payments from debtors; carried out ageing analysis of AR to determine chronic outstanding payments, and producing periodic receivables reports.
• Produced inventory reports, audited stores and inventory to verify a number of items in the inventory with those in records, and investigated any discrepancies.
• Checked monthly invoices with the purchase orders received from customers, ensured accuracy and submitted the invoices to customers.
