Managing and coordinating project construction and QA_QC
1. Managing soft landscape layouts based on contract details which mainly includes one of the following two
situations:
a. Starting from rough design reaching final approved layout after required discussions and meetings take
place to rectify design defects and analysis based on site condition and materials agronomic nature.
b. Direct execution of the design after getting approval or instructions.
2. Prepare Sampling and Material Submittals and soft landscape Method Statement then dealing with
approvals from both consultant and client representative, which includes attending and negotiate in
meetings of all levels.
3. Preparing required cost estimations according to contract details, as well scheduling material supply
followed by submitting MRs as scheduled for soft landscape materials, including soil mix materials, plants
(trees, shrubs, ground cover…etc.) and necessary machinery and tools based on contract and site
conditions, along with following up and assure reception in advance as planned. (These tasks requires
co-ordination with project manager, purchasing department, mechanical department, company nurseries,
QS engineer and suppliers.)
4. Soil preparation starting with material setting out (sweet sand, Piet moth, organic and chemical fertilizers
along with any other special materials) as specified in BOQ and technical specs provided, which include
using the required machinery for any related processes, followed by raising IRs and attending these
inspections for clarifications and getting approvals.
5. Co-ordinate or supervise setting out of irrigation accessories and assure the compatibility of it as required
and checking for sufficiency of each. Then raise and attend IRs.
6. Setting out of plants materials based on soft landscape layout and assure the spacing and quantities
following the technical specs. Then raise and attend IRs.
7. Prepare As built layout in advance in a daily basis and recording variations regularly, reaching the final
submittals.
8. Prepare landscape maintenance program and operation manual assuring and following this program and
manual, which include all maintenance aspects including irrigation maintenance, landscape maintenance
and housekeeping and safety practices for the project during the contract period up to TOC and final
handing over.
Second - For Landscape maintenance contracts:
1. After tendering the contract based on the project area, irrigation systems types and agronomical
varieties, project history, and site visit. I prepare a yearly, monthly, and weekly maintenance proposed
program (considering Manpower, safety measures and equipment, maintenance machinery and
required tools) and offer it for approval by the client.
2. After approval, I work on applying the approved proposed program in a daily basis with reporting in
daily, weekly and monthly basis according to the contract and the agreement.
3. Attend regular site visits to assure proper working practices leading to client satisfaction.
4. In order of any issues on site I have the abilities to coordinate or take the required self-action to rectify
and sustain the proper operational and sufficient condition for outstanding landscape.
5. Follow up billing and payments.
