- Managing, Integrating, Supervising, monitoring and controlling the ongoing site activities ensuring project deliverable are met as per project requirements and constrains.

- Review Project Scope of Work, drawings, specification, plans and raise any potential conflicts.

- Leading the Construction team (Discipline Engineers, Inspectors, Surveyors, HSE supervisor) ensuring common understanding and awareness of on-going issues and areas of concern.

- Ensure Completion of and track all the required testing as required by Project Quality plan.

- Review and approval of contractor’s shop drawing submittals for temporary as well as permanent works, including calculations as appropriate to ensure compliance with the design intent.

- Direction and supervision of engineering inspectors in quality control inspection of materials and workmanship of installation to ensure compliance with design specifications.

- Monitoring of contractor’s progress of works to ensure timely execution of work in accordance with the project schedule and in coordination with the work of other trades and disciplines

- Reviewing the design and to provide value engineering for the Structural works.

- Reviewing/ Preparing of Structural Shop Drawings based on Project Drawings (IFC) like General Arrangement drawings and Rebar details.

- Reviewing the form works requirement that suit the Structure and construction methodology.

- Preparing the steel orders, coordinating with the store, the yard and the steel supplier.

- Coordinating with the Project’s subcontractors based on their scope, (post tension, steel works, form-works, cladding, elevators, BMU, false ceiling, Plant Division-Hoist & Tower Cranes, ext. . .

- Raising the RFI’s for clarification and revisions related to the Project Drawing, and Clashes between different disciplines.

- Supervising and guiding the Structural Engineers.

- Prepare and arranging sketches for the site team and Solving site problems with the engineer (consultant).

- Coordinate with other disciplines (Arch, MEP, QA-QC, surveyor, Material Delivery for the subcontractors).

- Reviewing Material submittals, Method statements ... ext.

- Reviewing all the project specifications / recommendations.

- Review Non-Conformance Reports to assess the impact on design and provide solutions.

- Overview the Subcontractor’s material submittals for compliance with the design and review Subcontractor’s as-built drawings and submittals

- Writing correspondence letters and notices of delays to subcontractors as well as notifications of any changes to contractor’s scope of work to the engineer.

- Raising flags if cost or time implications arise when comments or instructions are given by the engineer to commercial and planning departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Structural Design And Preparation Of Construction Drawings, Coordinating with
the Chief Architect and other Engineers,
- Handling completes civil/structural shop drawings (Reinforcement shop drawings
bar bending schedules - Concrete layout drawings - Coordination drawings).
Handling complete structural design starting from schematic design to final
detailed design and prepare calculation sheets and documentation required for
Municipality approval
- Determine the most safe and economic structural system that fits with
architecture design.
- Building 3d model analysis through Etabs software and apply wind and seismic
loads as per relevant codes
- Check the design of vertical elements ( columns -core -shear walls-Retaining
walls )
- Design of (slabs-beams- raft foundations - pile caps) using safe soft ware.
- Managing meetings with the client to discuss work progress during design phase.
- Managing appointments with the Municipality Structural Engineer for the
necessary discussions to clarify any comments to achieve final Municipality
approval.
- Technical proposal manager (acting) - (preparing scope of work, estimating man
hours)
