Quality Department Head

Lead and manage the Final Products' Quality Section across three rolling mill plants with a combined production capacity of 2.21 million tons annually.

Oversee and ensure compliance with national and international quality standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, BS, NF, GOST, JIS, ABNT, TUV, etc., ) for steel reinforcement bars, spooled rebars, rebar in coils and plain wire rod coils.

Develop and implement quality management strategies, including quality control plans, inspection protocols, and corrective/preventive actions.

Supervise quality control teams and coordinate with production, maintenance and automation departments to ensure continuous product and process improvement.

Lead audits and coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and certification bodies.

Utilize data-driven decision-making through analysis of test results, KPIs, and non-conformance reports to identify trends and implement improvements.

Mentor and train Quality staff to enhance technical skills, product knowledge, and quality culture.

Oversee customer complaint resolution and conduct root cause analysis to improve customer satisfaction.

Drive initiatives for cost-effective quality products while maintaining product integrity and compliance.

Participate in the strategic planning and contribute to plant-wide performance reviews and capability enhancement initiatives. (for example: RM2 Spooler line issue RM3 bar waviness issue)

Prepare the Quality department annual budget.

•In charge, senior QC/QA shift engineer in 2 labs & 3 rolling mills.
•Establish and maintain an up to-date library of relevant applications, regulations and instruction concerning quality control and quality assurance standards.
•To ensure that the processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented and maintained.
•Follow-up equipment calibration log and conducting re-calibration.
•Follow-up equipment maintenance log and plan and all relevant reports regarding the history, progress and status.
•Issuing daily, monthly and annual reports and issuing work orders according to required standards, also issuing mill test certificates for any local or foreign end.
•Issuing and following NCR regarding non-conforming product or cycle.
Preparing all required documents and fulfil all tasks required by the internal or external audits.
Assure implementing safety instructions and environment and provide technical internal training for quality team.
Providing technical statistical studies and troubleshooting quality issues, and participating in trials and issuing final conclusion reports.
Reporting to QC/QA mangers and top management regarding the status, progress and performance of the implementation of quality management system.

•Operating +60 m/m gypsum boards line and maintain high productivity with minimum reject, considering saving energy priorities and maintain quality control of the products.
•Maintaining production stability by monitoring and recording all related parameters of process and interact with any sudden deviations and provides RCA and assures the implementation of the required points to prevent any anomalies.
•Issuing all required reports and provide technical and analytical studies and projects concerning quality and CI.
