The objective of this project is to carry out Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and related works
for fiscal metering facility for crude oil received from PS-2 and PS-3 platforms before storage at Halul.
The fiscal metering shall have uncertainty of net standard volumes better than ±0.25% for all the
crude oil received from PS-2 and PS-3+QPD.

Project scope is to meet the future power requirements in UAD field, existing generation facility is
being considered for upgrade in the most optimum manner to cater for the short and medium term
power requirements of the UAD field development plans. The existing Generators A & B are planned
to be replaced so that the resultant combination shall be adequate to cater for the estimated short and
medium term power requirements, as a minimum.

FRONT END ENGINEERING DESIGN FOR CONSTRUCTION OF DESALINATION
PLANT
\[Client: Al-Khafji Joint Operations, Saudi Arabia\]
The main purpose of this project is to install new Multi Effect Desalination (MED) units,
M102G1&2, to support KJO corporate and business objectives to maintain the maximum
sustainable capacity (MSC) of production of Khafji and Hout crudes, and to support
community and business. The proposed two MED units shall provide operation ability and
flexibility to meet KJO current and future fresh water demands.

The work includes generating hazardous area classification (HAC) reports and drawings for 16 units of
Zirku Island facilities using IP 15:2005, 3rd Edition guidelines. Major facilities on Zirku Island include
crude treatment, gas treatment, water treatment, power generation, storage tanks and 3-phase
separation. These HAC reports and drawings will act as a guideline for future ZADCO projects and
installations.
Responsibilities include:

Review (IPSR).

ADMA-OPCO(+) 100 MBD DAS FACILITIES UPGRADE FEED PROJECT
There are total eleven offshore pedestal cranes in the UZ complex. Six pedestal cranes in Central
complex (CC), one each for ACPT-1 &2, one each for SSP, NSP &WSP. The cranes are obsolete
and difficult to obtain spare parts from OEM which leads to reduction in cranes availability, reliability
and safety; therefore it was strongly recommended to proceed for complete replacement of these
cranes.

Re-FEED OF POWER UPGRADE PROJECT
Replacement of existing 11 KV switchgear with new one with latest technology to mitigate the shortfalls
in spare availability and SC withstand level within the foot print of the existing switchgear.

- Shift the existing camp electrical network supply from the 3.3 kV switchgear 12SB1 to the 11 kV new
switchgear network.
- Replacing existing 3.3/0.415 kV transformers with new 11/0.415 kV transformers and reducing the

IRAQ, RUMAILA OILFIELD DEVELOPMENT EPC
The process industries handle and process a range of hazardous materials which can give rise to fires, explosions and toxic releases. Such events can result in loss of life, damage to the environment and threaten the very survival of a business. It is vital that companies understand and manage the risk of such accidents. Process safety deals with how to identify, prevent, control and mitigate the effects of major accidents. Loss Prevention addresses the broader area of minimising all accidental losses (including for example by improving plant reliability and availability). This course provides you with the knowledge, skills and tools to pursue a career in process safety and loss prevention. The course is delivered by process safety practitioners with extensive current industry experience in their areas of specialisation.
The course places an emphasis on the traditional elements of chemical engineering which underpin design in the oil and chemical sectors of the process industries. Mathematics and thermodynamics are essential supporting disciplines, and study of these leads on to in-depth analysis of chemical reaction, distillation, fluid flow and heat transfer. In the final year, besides advanced topics such as reactor design and distillation, the course focuses on the relationship between industry and its environment. We worked with other students on a challenging exercise to design a complete manufacturing process from scratch.
