• Responsible for planning and driving the retail operations of Home Centre Egypt through leading the team of Area Managers, Merchandisers, Buying, Warehouse, Training, Visual Merchandising and Marketing.
• Prepare and participate in the preparation of sales budgets and ensure sales and profitability are in line with market budgets.
• Formulate and implement retail strategies and procedures that support market and brand.
• Identify internal and external commercial opportunities.
• Strategize and seek opportunity for brand expansion in the territory.
• Ensure effective inventory and warehouse management for Home Centre in the market.
• Ensure effective stock and space management.
• Review and analyze stocks and sales reports monitoring over and under stocks, implementing corrective action to be taken.
• Understand market dynamics (demographics, consumer behavior, market understanding etc.).
• Manage and support in team recruitment.
• Assist Area Retail Manager in grievance handling and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure skill development of showroom staffs through Learning & Development.
• Monitor and appraise the performance of retail staff in coordination with Area Retail Managers and developing individual career plans.
• Set KPIs for direct reports and conduct performance appraisal.
• Responsible for store operations, staff development, marketing and visual merchandising for AOR.
• Actively contributes to development of business initiatives relevant to brand projects.
• Executing the business plan on a daily basis.
• Drives efficient and profitable operations and ensures the brands experience is consistently provided to all customers.
• Ensuring employment issues are dealt with as required, including all disciplinary and grievances in line with business policies and procedures.
• Managing teams of store managers in terms of their professional development and supporting the succession planning processes.
• Liaison with all stakeholder groups to ensure that stores are run with correct stock levels, resources, training and to provide central focal point for remedial action where this is not the case.
• To provide reports and plans to Senior Managers as required.
• Works with store management to identify and utilize opportunities to increase sales, control staff costs and manage appropriate inventories.
• Drive the implementation of company programmes by developing action plans & directly motivating & instructing the store team to implement them to meet Operational & organizational objectives.
• Assists in selecting competent team members and management and develops them to identify potential.
• Driving sales and profitability across all AOR.
• Managing the District's financial performance, safety and security of Partners.
• Monitors daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly financial performance.
• Maintain a quality store operations, and works to ensure sales targets are reached or exceeded.
• Ensures efficient and timely roll-out of systems, procedures and programmes.
• Ensures cash handling and banking is carried out in compliance with company policy and procedure.
• Trains and develops teams to Starbucks customer service standards, and effectively communicates new product information to partners.
• Encourages full participation of team in creating store goals and developing plans.
• Manages operational staff issues and disciplinary matters.
•Sets direction for training and development of Barista, Shift Supervisor, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, Management Coach Mentor, District Manager and Operations Manager.
•Consults with appropriate stakeholders and develops implementation strategies to ensure that all training initiatives are actioned to meet business objectives.
•Uses the learning measurement tools to identify needs and plan accordingly. Administrates plans and initiatives to meet needs of the market based on recommendations from Operations Managers.
•Facilitates the process of learning measurement tools to enable Operations to analyze the needs of their area of responsibility and makes recommendations.
•Administers the monthly, quarterly and yearly calendar of activities for ongoing training and development of partners across the market in collaboration with Operations.
•Develops facilitation skills of District Managers, Management Coach Mentors, Store Managers to enable them to cascade training programs effectively.
•Facilitates leadership workshops for Store Managers, Management Coach Mentors and District Managers.
•Responds to a variety of requests from Stores partners, Operations Management partners and other departments with regards to training and development.
•Acts as consultant in succession planning for all store partners with District Managers and Operations Manager.
•Works with District Managers and Operations Manager to set Partners Development Plans to meet market internal promotion needs.
•Recommends appropriate training to district Managers and Operations Manager for their teams based on partner proficiency.
•Recognizes top performers in store and classroom training and drives development accordingly.
•Accomplishing the training and certifying 24 MCM in Kuwait and Egypt .
•Supporting Starbucks KSA (Mecca, Medina and Jeddah region).
•Opening 20 stores within two years in Starbucks Egypt.
