As a professional Quantity Surveyor i have been involved pre and post contract commercial aspects during the phases. Currently I’m working with Saudi PIF Clients as a Main Contractor Quantity Surveyor under Contracts and Commercial Department and Responsible for managing contract value more than 400 Million SAR.
In this role, I was assigned to the following projects.
Post Contract
- Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN) Program 03 - Khobar, Dammam & Al Ahsa Development
- NEOM T&KM Rehabilation Works
- NEOM NC1, NEOM PE 269 - Infrastrucutre, and Landscaping Developments
- RedSea Global Nursery Electrical and STP Improvements Developments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Quantity take-off based on IFT & IFC drawings.
- BOQ Preparation & Cross Check the bid BOQ
- Preparation and submission of interim payment application.
- Preparation and Submission of SC packages for Quotations and evaluating the same.
- Preparation of LOA, WO for SCs
- Evaluate the SCs invoices and issue the payment certificate for payment.
- Verifies Material Requesting from (MRF) by checking the quantities,
- Preparation of RFC letter for identified variation order from the contract and Submission of Variation order proposal with all substantiation documents.
- Perform the detailed cost estimation for VO & PS Works.
- Assessment of variations, negotiation with the vendor, and preparation of documents with all relevant substantiation to the Client’s satisfaction.
- Perform the monthly material reconciliation report.
- Preparation and submission of estimate at completion reports.
- Execute a comprehensive analysis of payment aging for individual projects.
- Assisting in preparing the Variation order form.
- Attend the commercial meetings with stakeholders.
- Preparation of contractual letters for notice, disputes & etc.
- Maintain all contractual logs. (Insurance, Bonds, Payment, Variation, Claim & Letters).
- Perform the final account, SOC & Discharge letter for commercial closeout.
As a Professional Quantity Surveyor involved following projects and Was assigned the following duties;
Projects Involved.
Al Hamama Palace Modification, AR Estate Mesmer Service Apartment, Blue Ocean twin villas and K&DY City Center Mall Development. (Phase III)
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting to prepare the pre tender estimates in accordance with current market rates subject to tender evaluation benchmark and budgeting.
- Taking off quantities and Preparing the Measurement sheet for Civil, MEP, Fit out & infra-scope of Works.
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities according to the method of measurements (POMI, SLS 573, SMM7, NRM2, CESMM4 & QSMM).
- Preparation of bidding documents; subject to float of the tender.
- Assisting the detailed commercial evaluation based on PTE and Preparation of Post tender Commercial Clarification for vendor response.
- Preparation of LOA based on tender evaluation recommendation.
- Preparation of a detailed measurement sheet to verify the contractor progress quantities subject to make sure of the value of work done.
- Conduction of site visits to assess work done for the contractor’s payment, application, and preparation of contractor’s payment certificates.
- Assessment of variations, negotiation with the contractor, and preparation of documents with all relevant substantiation to the Client’s satisfaction.
- Assisting to prepare the Variation order form.
- Maintain all contractual logs. (Insurance, Bonds, Payment, Variation, Claim & Letters)
During the employment, i was appointed as a assistant project quantity surveyor for the following projects;

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quantity take off for tender submission and Checking BOQ for errors.
- Prepare the bid clarification for the pricing the details that are not provided by the client in the SOW.
- Assisting to prepare the competitive techno-commercial proposal.
- Take off quantities and preparation of PMS for IPA Submission.
- Preparation of joint measurement sheet for the value of work done
- Preparation of subcontractors’ RFP and Evaluating the same
- Verify the subcontractor’s payment application and Issue the Recommendation
- Preparation of MOS Schedule
- Assisting to submit the VO cost proposals.
