I had the honor of implementing large Projects in this great organization:-
1- A large migration process for database from oracle database 9i to oracle database 10g R2 in (2009) using two powerful HP Server Itanium, HP-UX OS but in as a single instance due to absence of shared storage.
2- A large complex migration process to one of the best recommended ORACLE OPTIMIZED SOLUTION (http://www.oracle.com/us/solutions/oos/overview/index.html) which includes:
a) Shifting from HP servers to Oracle SPARC T4-2 servers
b) Shifting from ISCSI built in storage to SUN ZFS Storage Appliance which connected to the servers through a Sun Datacenter InfiniBand Switch (40 GB per second).
c) Migrating from oracle database 10g to 11g (R2 11.2.0.4)
d) Upgrading from Single Instance database to Oracle Real Application Cluster.
e) creating Data Guard environment for the maximum high availability after implementing a DR site.
f) Using the new Innovation of Hyper Columnar Compression “HCC” which gave up to 10x better performance and less storage.
3 - Creating a DR (Disaster Recovery) Site.
4 - Upgrading the HIS application which used by the hospital (e-Hope) by fixing bugs and adding more features after buying the source code from the vendor.
My experiences and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:-
Performing as a team leader for the system analysis, designers and developers teams establishing, developing and upgrading 12 medium In-house modules for departments which aren’t totally covered by our HIS like (Supply Chain module, Insurance E-Claim System, Laboratory Information System, E-Medical Record System and many other medical and financial application)
Provide a full documentation for all projects done by my team or under my supervision whether upgrading or new developing for the different modules and applications, the databases and servers configurations as well.
Installing, configuring, performance tuning and monitoring of Oracle databases, Oracle Application server 10g R2, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC), Oracle Business intelligence 11g R1, and Oracle Replication Environment (including oracle stream).
Maintain the database stability by database patching and maintenance underlying most OS(Solaris, HPUX, Windows2003)
Worked with the vendor (OPTIMIZA) and the internal resources to provide integration functionality between in-house financial and Medical applications and the vendors application (eHOPE)
Maintain the UNIX server's stability
Making usual database maintenance tasks like backups and performing recovery when necessary
Proactively monitoring the database’s health and taking preventive or corrective action as required
Performing upgrades of the database and software to new release levels, applying oracle patches, and database cloning.
Installing and maintaining the institution of the datacenter that includes the following tasks:-
.Responsible for the installation, administration, performance tuning and monitoring of Oracle databases and Oracle application servers in support of IFS enterprise applications ERP and Nexus medical Application.
• Perform the administration duties of other Military hospital medical databases (MS SQL server, Sybase) as required by the Nexus company.
• Maintain the database stability by database patching and maintenance underlying OS(Solaris, Windows, Linux SUSE)
• Work with vendor and internal resources to provide integration functionality with IFS portal, Nexus Medical application and any other applications
• Provide documentation support for procedures, applications and server configurations
• Maintain the sun server's stability by clustering, shell scripts and any simple hardware maintenance if needed.

Worked as a team member in a developing team established and developed a package consists of more than 40 applications of all kinds of Enterprise applications HR, Accountant …. Etc for the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Scientific Researches using Oracle technology (SQL, PL/SQL, Forms Builder, Report Builder, crystal report and JDeveloper).
