Reroute Qatif-Ras Tanura Pipelines (Original Project and Addendum) Hydraulic Analysis (Saudi Arabia):
The purpose of relocating the pipelines in the Khursaniya-Ras Tanura (KRT) and the Ras Tanura-Ju’aymah (RTJ) corridors are, primarily, to support the Ras Tanura Master Plan implementation and subsequently sustain the transportation of bunker product, propane plus Natural Gas Liquid (C3+NGL), and condensate water transportation to and from RTR in a sustainable manner.
The relocation of these pipelines is to avail additional area to accommodate population and Saudi Aramco business growth in the Ras Tanura area, as well as enhance the standard of living by applying the Community of excellence concept. This is in complying with a proposed Ras Tanura 20-year Urban Development Master Plan, which recommends removing all pipelines in the RTJ and KRT pipeline corridors and the relocation of all the in-service pipelines to the GART corridor.
KBR-AMCDE performed a hydraulic analysis to support the Project Proposal.
I participated in building the simulation models using Stoner Pipeline Simulator (SPS) in conjunction with KBR-HOUSTON for the pipelines Steady-State & Transient models in plus creating its reports, the purpose of the hydraulic analysis was to confirm the pipeline size, MAOP, surge relief stations and other specifications of the pipelines. In accordance with the Scope of Work for Hydraulic Analysis, the hydraulic analysis was executed in several phases.
Fuel Oil (FO180) YCOT to MARAFIQ and SWCC Pipelines (Conceptual Design) Hydraulic and Thermal Analysis (Saudi Arabia):
The study is to define the required FO180 temperature that stored in K01-T13 and K01-T14 tanks then pumped with K01-G-301 export pump that discharge the flow to reach YCOT fence, then it directly distributed to MARAFIQ and SWCC end user plants through different branches. The purpose of the hydraulic steady state analysis was to indicate the FO180 temperature and be the set value in installing heater system (steam or electric) for bunker tanks.
This Hydraulic thermal study recommends upgrading the existing Tanks K01-T13 and T14. With its inside tank heater coil with mixer of fluid circulation or electrical heater, where the fluid set temperature is to be 125⁰F to act a little on FO180 properties than in summer ambient conditions and to justify the target pumped flow rate to the end users specially during winter or at any other circumstances.
KBR-AMCDE performed a hydraulic Thermal analysis to support the Project Conceptual design.
I was the only responsible in building the simulation models using Stoner Pipeline Simulator (SPS) for the pipelines Steady-State with high viscosity fluid models in plus creating its reports.
Expand LPG Production Facilities Pipelines of YANBU Refinery (Detailed Phase Engineering) Hydraulic and Transient Surge Analysis (Saudi Arabia):
The purpose of the facilities is to support the corporate objective to efficiently meet the Kingdom’s demand for LPG. This will be accomplished by upgrading the existing LPG facilities at Yanbu Refinery and Yanbu NGL by increasing LPG storage and handling such that shipping capacity increases from 14 MBD to 30 MBD. These facilities will permit supply from YNGL if LPG production from YR is not available.
The objective of this study is to perform a detailed transient (surge) analysis of the two pipelines from YNGL to Yanbu Refinery spheroids and one LPG rundown line from Yanbu Refinery process area to Yanbu Refinery spheroids.
Stoner Pipeline Simulator (SPS) (Model Builder) version 9.8 by GL Noble Denton was used for transient (surge) analysis.
The Surge Analysis focused on the effects of various operating scenarios (Cases) such as valve closures and pump start/stop and monitoring any violation of Maximum Allowable Surge Pressure.

Senior Process Admin Engineer at Oalaiya
  • Saudi Arabia - Riyadh
  • October 2010 to December 2013

El-Oalya (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) Senior Project Administration Engineer
September 2004 till November 2005 Followed with that period of October 2010 till November 2013 joining the company where it was the Saudi Arabian Sponsor-ship for my (IQAMMA) and assist me in renewing the registration periodically for the 5 years working for the previous illustrated company at Egypt Onspec Engineering Solutions in my main career of Process Engineering.
I was a part of the projects development team that was responsible for admin the construction compounds in Riyadh for the first period, and in the second period I was reviewing infrastructure projects for great lands at Saudi Arabia & establishing feasibility studies and studying the commercial impact for different projects in the Gulf area.
It was my Saudi Arabian Registration Permit (IQAMMA) of Chemical Engineer which has transferred twice to the Oil & Gas Engineering companies present in Saudi Arabia AHECON (Dammam, Saudi Arabia) then with my Engineering Modeling and Simulation rapidly transferred to GES + company KBR-AMCDE (Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia)
It was the last Company in Saudi Arabia before my last exit Due to Oil price drop crisis in 2015 and the main Oil and Gas client (Saudi ARAMCO) put standby (on hold) 75% of its Projects) which impact greatly on all the Engineering service companies and I was informed for any company to raise a residence Transfer letter at that time.
