Project Management:

My main task as an IT Lead is to work with all levels of an organization in Egypt Head quarter and Plant, (where I have worked with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Production) to understand the business needs and how to align IT resources and technology to meet those needs, which help in making their work easier & efficient, through leading, supervising and participating in projects that fulfill this goal.

Besides some of my regular tasks:

IT Strategy:
• Participate in developing Egypt IT plans, aligning with the MENAP IT
• Work closely with business and stakeholders to identify requirements for new/existing solutions and facilitate the interactions with relevant regional/global JNJ teams
• Drive innovation and Influence the development of new solutions in the portfolio based on the needs of the business units

Project Management of IT initiatives:
• Work with business managers to drive the new business processes, ensuring the implemented system is working according to JNJ specification and realizing the achievement of the declared benefits
• Work with the business to ensure that necessary IT competencies of business unit resources are maintained and there is a sustainable functional expert/key user organization in place
• Lead, supervise and work with local/remote IT resources supporting delivery of new solutions

Supervise the outsource support:
•Guide & support all users to the new support model
•Monitor the tasks fulfillment, according to our SLAs
•Supervise projects impacting the whole office & Plant
•Provide all needed guidance & support for outsource team to fulfill their tasks


IT Audit:
•Advisor for Sarbanes Oxley and IT internal controls compliance
•Driving consistency in local controls, documentation and testing approach in Egypt IT department
•Act as link between the local management and auditors (both External & Internal) to ascertain that appropriate actions are taken to implement the audit recommendations and evaluate the results
•Plan and conduct of IT audit assignments in proportion to the annual agreed upon audit plan
•Follow up on periodic basis with the audited units to ascertain that appropriate actions are taken to implement recommendations and evaluate the results
•Complete Application Security and SOD reviews

Financial Planning and Management:
• Manage IT Budget with the finance support
• Maintain visibility of applications IT costs for the business units and ensure that costs are billed within agreed funding levels
• Follow JNJ Financial processes and governance for approving spend on activities


JNJ Standard computing services:
•Comply with all JNJ Worldwide policies & procedures includes but not limited to information asset protection policy
•Manage Head office and Plant Network (for new projects or extensions)
•First line of support for the ERP system (Epicor 7.4 sp2) and MRP system (COMPASS), as the only point of contact with the remote teams in the UK and Italy.
•Manage Windows 2000/2003 server, and SQL 2000/2005/2008, as they are the standard environment for JNJ Worldwide.

Network infrastructure:
•Monitor Network stability
•Communicate with our ISP regarding any issues or upgrades
•Evaluate ISP service every year and give recommendations to upper management
•Ensure the data safety and integrity

JNJ Standard computing services:
•Manage backup jobs for JNJ Middle East Environment
•Ensure secure access to JNJ Network
•Control JNJME remote users access to JNJ Global Network through tokens
•Comply with all JNJ Worldwide policies & procedures includes but not limited to information asset protection policy


Technology Administration:
•Ensure the compliance with all audit requirements (Local and international)
•Ensure all users have completed the required training and courses related to IT policies periodically
•Administering users access to JNJ Network and the application, perform quarterly segregation of duties reports
•Ensure meeting with user requirements, including designing or creating reports needed by users and management, using simple excel sheets and Crystal reports
•Handling all IT procurements
•Maintain JNJ Egypt Consumer local Intranet
•Maintain the access cards system as a database administrator
•Ensure the HR files submission from Egypt & Morocco to JNJ Global website
•Ensure Sales reports submission from our distributors to JNJ Global website for the region

Handling all the technical problems regarding the whole company (PCs, Printers, and Servers)
Web designing
Searching for new suppliers for the company’s computers and peripheral devices.
Negotiating prices and contractual issues with the suppliers.
Teaming with Marketing in creating pamphlets, presentations & advertising materials for the company
Responsible for the Electronic Library project for the whole company.
