Pump Station Operator My duties include: Plans and executes crude oil delivery to appropriate pipelines or tank age Monitors operational data during crude oil movements and takes appropriate actions when necessary. and Performs measurement Monitors the instruments and terminal equipment during operational activities to ensure proper function Ensures safety and protection of the environment for activities performed by terminal maintenance, inspection, and crude oil washing activities. also inspection pipes with hydraulic and pneumatic test Take reading and measurement data and communicates with operation staff and main control center Assigns work permits for company and contract personnel working at local facilities. Plans and executes equipment and pipeline drain activities prior to maintenance or new construction work. Communicates operational information, maintenance needs, and other related information to internal and external customers in both verbal and write reports and forms to direct supervisor - superintendent Operates the powered generators - pumps or any other equipment needed for systems operations ‘ in the event of power failure. Response of emergency case ( emergency shutdown - blackout ) Activating emergency response plan for the area, including making necessary preliminary notifications.
