Subcontract Bidding Management
• Preparing Bidder list for all disciplines (Civil, Building, Mechanical, piping, Electrical & Instrumentation)
• Issue Invitation to Bid (ITB) to Bidders and ensure responses to all queries raised.
• Conducting technical & Commercial bid clarification meeting with Bidders of all Discipline (Civil, Building, MEI, Painting Insulation, NDE)
• Preparing Technical & commercial Clarification meeting report
• Technical & commercial bid evaluation of subcontractor Bid which includes workload, manpower & equipment mobilization plan, execution Plan
• Executing all the work from Invitation to Bid to LOI based on management Plan
• Preparing Back up Plan to utilize in case of De-scoping.
Other Responsibilities : Subcontractor Registration, management & others
• Survey, Categorize, evaluate & Register Potential Subcontractors in Middle East, Africa & CIS Regions.
• Identifying proper work scope, Capability of subcontractors & listing them accordingly in GSE&C Project Management System (TPMS)
• Visiting subcontractors to evaluate their capability, facility, intention to participate in project & to develop a good relationship.
• Keeping good relationship with Potential subcontractors.
• Coordinating with team members, Project site persons & Managers in Korea for various Project activities
• Preparing Reports of Business trip, Surveys, Subcontractor evaluation & presenting same to Management.
• Keeping update information of ongoing projects in Middle East -Power Oil & gas Sector
• Study, interpret, and analyze contract documents for estimation of cost
• Know the scope of work and provisions as per Tender document.
• Sending clarification requests to the client, for clarification of scope & contract conditions
• Quantity take-off and prepare material list.
• Formulating standard proposal if not detailed in the drawing
• Estimation of Manpower, Material, Consumables & other Costs
• Awareness of raw material market price
• Sending Enquiries for subcontractor/ Suppliers
• Preparation of quotation & BOQ of raw materials
• Coordinating with Production & Site team
• Coordinate with the Client reconcile regarding the comments on the submitted Quotation.
• Attending client clarification meeting.
• Handing out work schedule to Site supervisors and supervision of ongoing works
• Coordinating, visiting regularly SBC Fabrication Workshop in Mina Ahmadi to ensure proper Progress of Pipe Spools, Thread Joints, Support Fabrication.
• Supervising Temporary Site Fabrication yard work & ensure proper progress
• Tracking Progress of fabrication in proper Sequence & sending them for Painting to ensure no delay in site Progress.
• Ensuring actual work progress meets the planned progress.
• Attending client meeting regarding work progress & target achievement.
• Ensuring proper handling of manpower.
• Reporting daily, weekly work progress, issues in the site to Construction Manager.
• Coordinating with site surveyor for level checking of the civil foundation for steel structure erection. Also verifying the same with client Surveyor
• Ensure work is complying with Isometric, Structural, GAD, P&ID drawings
• Coordinating with QC department for NDE activities.
• Preparation of pipe line for hydro test.
