Duties and responsibilities include complete System Administration of QIT Head office and 3 remote sites:
• Administration, configuration and troubleshoot MS Windows 2012 Standard & 2003 Enterprise Server issues.
• Manage, Address and coordinate urgent and complicated system support issues. Maintain and review client requests logs and introduce methods to minimize common client issues.
• Identifying suitable security standards and implementation of policies and procedures
• Providing complete support services on IT Hardware, software and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting, Administration and support for MS Windows server 2003, Kerio Email Server and Kerio Firewall Products.
• Administration, Troubleshooting and support for MS Windows Server 2012 & 2003
• Preparing audit controls and monitoring audit trails on uncharacteristic behaviors and security breaches by individuals and activities and reporting to higher management.
• Preparing comprehensive plans and procedures for business continuity(BCP) following system failures
• Configuring Active Directory, FSMO roles, GPOs, DNS & DHCP components
• Setup of Kerio firewall, Kerio mail and Symantec Antivirus Servers.
• Performing periodic Backups & ensure secure data access to authorized users.
• Coordinating with remote site system support staff and users on important system transitions and upgrades.
• Upgrading Servers and client systems to suit new system needs.
• Administrating & troubleshooting remote sites using Kerio VPN connectivity.
• Responsible for routine backup of data, testing data integrity, and offsite data storage.
• Complete System Migrating from HP Proliant Servers to Dell
PowerEdge Servers

Directs and coordinates activities of computer based knowledge by performing the following duties:
• Management of the BCS Training Division.
• Consults with management to analyze computer system needs for delivery of standard service and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
• Recommends and develops plans for systems enhancements and operations on hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing.
• Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.
• Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions.
• Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs and impact, and address day-to-day problems.
• Carrying out promotional activities for the Division.
• Supervising personnel of the Division.
• Undertake responsibilities for the coordination and scheduling of batches.
• Maintain rapport with the Lecturers (both internal and external) and follow up on the progress via evaluations / Identify and allocate new Lecturers
• Act as a representative of “Quality” for the organization.
• Monitoring and managing work units and project teams to ensure quality and effective delivery of information technology related services and solutions to students, professionals and institutions.
• Often representing the organization to client agencies and other external forums in exploiting and enhancing business opportunities.

o Database Analysis and Database Designing
• Working experience in Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP.
• Develop and deploy methodologies for testing network performance and providing network performance statistics and reports.
• Experienced in connecting branch offices and individual users in remote locations to the corporate network and connecting corporate networks to the Internet. Plan network strategy for configuring the user environment by using Group Policy (GPO) Delegate permissions for an OU to a user or to a security group. Familiar with Network Monitor, Event Viewer, and other network supporting tools.
• Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the organization's network using Virtual Private Networks (VPN).
• Ability to install, configuration, operate, and troubleshoot routers and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. The use of protocols such as IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2), VLANs and Ethernet, access control lists (ACLs).
• Understanding of network architecture and protocols including knowledge of Windows domain structure concepts, trusts, replication, active directory, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, security, RAS, system & disk management.
• Designed a framework for implementing network security which includes prevention, detection, isolation, and recovery. Predict threats to corporate network from internal and external sources and implementation of countermeasures to protect.
• Manage an Active Directory forest and domain structure through trust relationships and schema modifications.
• In depth experience in Oracle 9i and SQL Server 2000.
• Provided DBA support to applications development team on SQL Server 2000 and Oracle 9i.
• Identify and plan operations for master role dependencies with the objective of continueous biseness operations.
