•Implementing safety policy, programs and regulations.
•Responsible for performing various HSE Inspections (Camp Hygiene, Pre-Spud AUDIT, Rig site Inspections etc.)
•Maintaining records for periodic inspections and audits (internal, client, third party) and taking corrective actions within agreed time period.
•Launching hazard identification programs and ensuring a safe working environment.
•Implementation of STOP (Safety Training Observation Program), Lockout / Tag out, T-cards and Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
•Conducting all planned and un-planned safety meetings e.g. TBTs, Weekly, Pre-Shift.
•Coordinate with the Rig Manager and Area QHSE involving QHSE concerns.
•Implementing safety procedures while rig move.
•Arranging campaign for industrial challenging area where the high potential risk is involved e.g. Dropped Objects, working around High Pressure, Driving Challenges, Lifting Operations and Lift Plans etc.
•Provide safety induction to new employees and visitors.
•Conducting Emergency Drills (H2S, Security, BOP, Fire, Stretcher and MEDIVAC).
•Forming of H2S and Fire Rescue teams, training them and explaining them their roles and responsibilities.
•Liaison with the Fire and Rescue team in case of an emergency.
•Discuss Safety Alerts to promote a culture of proactive learning and continuous improvement.
•Ensure appropriate signs are posted in all hazardous areas and are in good condition.
•Ensure adequate Fire and Safety equipment e.g. fire extinguishers available at the work site.
•Ensure ‘’Near Miss’’ incident is reported promptly and investigation is conducted and recorded.
-Ensure implementation procedures (IMS: Integrated Management System) - ISO 9001/ISO 18001 14001/OHSAS.
-Educate staff on health, safety and environment.
-Provide technical and administrative managers of any measure likely to improve health and safety and the prevention of occupational risks.
-Organize and conduct safety inspections in the various services in the area of intervention.
-Conduct surveys on accidents and incidents, analyze the causes, prescribing preventive measures and ensure their implementation and follow-up.
-Organize and conduct the training required and specific training in health and safety regulations (newcomers, members of the CHS).
-Disseminate information and documentation on the regulation of health and safety.
-Ensure the installation of collective protective equipment.
-Identify and assess the risks associated with occupation.
-Verify compliance of all facilities and equipment to current standards and ensure that regulatory controls were made.
-Observe the HSE rules and regulation, ensure compliance with existing legislation and effectively report non-compliance to management.
-Monitor future changes in legislation for impact on the companies.
-Promote awareness and improvement in implementing HSE standards.
-Conduct field visits to ensure effective systems are maintained for the identification, assessment and control of all significant hazards.
-Audit of site and documentation.
-Follow up on incident report and submit investigation report.
-Check that contractors are not cutting corners on cost of HSE aspects of the work.
-Maintain effective consultation in respect of Health, Safety and Environmental management.
