At present, working in Terna Qatar L.L.C as an Accountant from June 2012. Terna Qatar L.L.C is one of the construction based company within GEK Terna Group which was founded in 1972 having more than 40 years of experience in the field complex infrastructure and building construction.

Responsibilities

• Accept authority, responsibility and accountability for all administrative and accounting procedure, budgeting, cash flow, internal controls, monitoring and preservation of the company assets

• Assist the Finance Manager and Project manager with implementing practices and procedures, and completing reports as required

• Ensure appropriate procedures for financial reporting, record keeping and documentation which maintains files in an orderly and accurate manner

• Oversee the Chart of Accounts to accurately reflect cost center income and expenses and general and administrative expenses in order to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Maintain all checking and savings accounts and reconcile daily and monthly, submit the monthly reconciliation to the Finance Manager for approval.

• Take any reasonable action necessary, within my authority, to carry out the responsibilities of the position in a manner that is ethical and conforms to sound business practices

• Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of total business results.

• Coordinate and prepare financial statements/reports for the Finance manager/Project Manager.

• Prepare various schedules and analysis of significant account balances.

• Accounts Payable management

• Performs other duties as assigned

* At the start of my career, I joint SJMS Associates as a trainee in Audit and Assurance, during my role of Audit trainee, I have handled number of large auditr in Manufacturing, Services, Buying and selling, etc industries.

* During the role of trainee, I have experience in preparing consolidated financila statements of large group of companies in Sri lanka and I was the master in preparing consolidation in my firm

* Since August 2011, I am working as a supervisor for IFRS implementation advisory team, during this role I had to report directly to the partner in-charge of such assignments, during that I was actively involved in technical problem solving and IFRS implementation for the companies who were following SLASs.

* Being technical supervisor I have involved in creative problem solving and advisory on technical issue related matters.
