In Hot Insulation
• Verifying of insulation material to be used Calcium silicate, Mineral wool, Foam glass, Polyisocyanurate and cladding, accessories.
• Inspection of cleanliness of surface to be insulated (dust, grease, coating conditions, etc..)
• Inspection of Insulation surface is uniform without gaps and voids, Tightness of joints & fasteners.
• Inspection of Weather Protection / Cladding
• Ensure the Insulation is Clean & Dry
• Inspect for proper overlaps of metals and flashing
• Verify the location of bands, screws, S-clips, J-Clips and breather spring is as specified.
• Preparing and raising Request for Inspection to client
• Witness Final Insulation Inspection with Client.

In Cold Insulation
• Verifying of insulation material to be used Foam glass, Polyisocyanurate, Polyurethane and cladding materials
• Inspection of cleanliness of surface to be insulated (dust, grease, coating conditions, etc..)
• Inspection of Insulation surface is uniform without gaps and voids
• Check Vapour barriers / vapour stops are correctly installed, Tightness of joints & fasteners, Contraction joints are correctly installed, Thickness and layering
• Inspection of Weather Protection / Cladding
• Ensure the Insulation is Clean & Dry
• Inspect for proper overlaps of metals and flashing
• Verify the location of bands, screws, S-clips, J-Clips is as specified
• Preparing and raising Request for Inspection to client
• Witness Final Insulation Inspection with Client.

Ensure all insulation and associated works carried out in accordance with the specification.
Preparing the necessary documentation and ensuring proper filing of documents.

QC INSPECTOR-WELDING/NDT at DESCON ENGINEERING

Skills/Responsibilities :
• Generate request for NDE (RT, MPT, DPT)
NDE Coordination (MT, UT, RT.DPI, PMI)
• Maintain record of all inspection activities
• Data Entry of welding reports and NDE test reports in PTS
• Ensure control in quality of welding - before, during and after completion.
• Preparing and raising Request for Inspection to client
• Final Dimensional Inspection with client
• Coordinating to client regarding of the Daily Progress
• Responsible for the quality implementation of Project Quality System regarding welding activities in contract project
• Ensuring that all welders are qualified and certified to perform the necessary welding activities and job clearance cards are issued
• Review weld maps and weld identification prior to any fabrication and welding jobs
• Checking the materials conform to the material submittals.
• Preparing the necessary documentation (two-week look ahead inspection schedule, request for Inspection etc) and ensuring proper filing of documents.
• Checking and verifying revisions to drawings.
• Perform fit-up and dimensional checks prior to welding and the fabrication conforms to the drawings.
• Witness all NDT tests like RT, UT, PT and MT based on requirements after final visual inspection.
• Submittal of weekly report for weld rejection rate - linear, joint basis and project weld status and successful close out of NCR’s if any.
• Prepare weld summary sheet and to provide the NDE reports for the hydro test package and Tie in package for Client verification and approval.
• Prepare Inspection dossiers and final documentation required as per ITP, for client approval, acceptance of product and to support the Mechanical Completion Certificate (MCC).

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR at G.B. ENGINEERING
