Structural Design Responsibilities
+ Leading a team of structural engineers in analysis and design concrete and steel structures starting from concept and schematic stage to IFC and authority’s approval.
+ Responsible for design management works like preparation of design schedules and managing the tendering process related to the structural scope of works.
+ Preparation of structural FE models, calculations, reports and drawings.
+ Updating structural specifications and department standards and procedures.
+ Liaising with structural sub-consultants and labs.
+ Liaising with cost control and team for BOQ, tender and value engineering preparation.
+ Liaising with Abu Dhabi municipality and client rep. for the structural deliverable.
Structural Supervision Responsibilities
+ Reviewing specialized works technical submittal i.e. piling, post tension, precast concrete, steel structures, aluminium, glazing, etc.
+ Replying to contractors RFIs and TQs.
+ Provide assistance to projects managers in managing structural activities.
+ Provide assistance to site structural engineers and superintends in reviewing and supervision of structural scope of works.
Haram (Holy Mosque) King Abdullah Expansion project:
Responsibilities:
1- Carrying out design calculations and preparing structural drawings and construction documents.
2- Building 3D structural models through finite elements software for the purposes of design, design review and analysis.
3- Design of steel framing systems, platforms, pedestrian bridges and its connections to sustain vertical and horizontal loads.
4- Element design for different structural systems such as cast-in-place concrete beam/column/isolated footings, raft foundation. Paneled beam, hollow core slabs, double "tee" roofing, pre-stressed elements, water structures, retaining walls, etc.
5- Design review for supplier’s structural calculations.
6- Preparing detailed structural calculations and drawings according to American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC 2005 LRFD or ASD).
7- Design of different steel systems for marble fixation, raised floor and false work as per site requirements.
8- Assisting in some BIM assignments through Revit for Haram building for coordination.
9- Co-ordination between technical office and site.
1-Analyzes drawings, specifications and statements of work in the preparation of activity networks for project resource planning and scheduling
2-Prepartion of project Base line schedule and performs critical path analysis.
3-Preparing project Base line budget.
4-Preparing Submittal register, Log and procurement Long lead items list.
5-Assist in updating program master schedule on a regular basis for project management reporting.
6-Analyze progress reports against current baseline schedules.
7-Preparing monthly/weekly schedule reports.
8-Monitors material status reports against construction schedules and reviews them with procurement and construction groups.
9-Preparing payment claims.
Bank Complex Project:
1- Analysis and studying tender drawings.
2- Provide structural designs, calculations and solutions as per site requirements.
3- Preparing RFIs and technical submittals.
4- Co-ordination between technical office and site.
B.s.c. of civil engineering from Alexandria university with grade very good with degree of honor. Ranked the 8th. Graduation project was on steel structures with grade Excellent.
