Establishing Inspection Management Systems & long term programs for the new refinery.
This includes, establishing the On-stream inspection monitoring program (OSI), welding Tracking, Fixed Asset strategic inspection planning, Cathodic protection CP, Creating the Developmental plans for fresh Inspectors and Safety relief valve Inspection Program.
Handle all activities related to Inspection Specialist roles & responsibilities from Monitoring and conditioning of fixed assets.
Participation and leading group of inspectors to carry out 1st EG Plant Shutdown in YANSAB (2012).
Participated in RCAs and Risk Assessment sessions.
• Performed the mechanical completion walkthroughs for the YGP expansion & petrorabigh projects inside the Gas Plant.
• Participated in the bi-weekly cross inspections for the ongoing projects ensuring the compliance to corporate & industry requirements.
• Issued non-conformance reports (NCR) to the project management team (PMT) for standards violations & Prepare punch listing to PMT as required.
• Witness hydrostatic tests for new components & post maintenance repairs according the applicable code & corporate specifications.
• Witness welder qualification against the applicable procedural supplement and ASME IX, coordinate RT & Issue welder clearance cards for short term contracts for particular jobs.
• Keep track of all welding jobs via WTS (Welding Tracking System) and highlight welders are not active for more than 6 month to be recertified.
• Monitor PWHT (post Weld Heat Treatments) & verify hardness testing requirements & results.
• Witness Hot-tap activities, thickness gauging, ensuring availability of NDT, calculation sheet, pressure test parameters & welding procedures. Monitor the welding process, coordinate the required NDT & witness the pressure test.
• Conduct periodic external mechanical surveys for the unit stationary equipment & associated piping and issue the relevant inspection worksheet.
• Issue monthly Inspection Worksheet (IW) status report to the proponent indicating the number of items cleared. Also, escalate the report to higher management for outstanding worksheets.
• Issue monthly Equipment Inspection Schedule (EIS) to the proponent and escalate overdue ones to the plant management.
• Participate in the Quarterly Safety Inspection (QSI) and deliver presentations to the manager on the inspection programs and action items progress status.
• Administrate & Issue the quarterly update for the Technical Alerts applicable to plant operations to the plant manager as the inspection unit is the custodian of this tracking system to ensure technical alerts are being implemented as per the alerts recommendations.
• Assist in the development and training of lesser qualified inspectors.
