• Develop the department’s strategy in line with the overall organizational strategy.

• Ensure an appropriate HR policy - supported by adequate processes and procedures - is in place to guide the organization HR activities.

• Ensure effective department performance through timely and accurate preparation and implementation of work activities, and work closely with the Chief Administrative Officer to ensure HR activities are in conformance with leading practices.

• Recommend and oversee the consolidation of the HR department budget; monitor performance against budget; identify areas of unsatisfactory performance and potential areas of improvement or cost reductions.
