And the job responsibilities for Planning Engineer are:
* Review/issue daily Maintenance schedules
* Prepare/issue 6 weekly planning schedule detailing schedule start and finish date
* Generate issue and follow up of Preventive Maintenance Monthly Plan for plant
maintenance, and issue Monthly PM Reports.
* Monitor and analyze major shutdown activities status
* Prepare/Issue Shutdown Detail Plan and coordinate the activities of maintenance and
Contractors Shutdown Team Leaders during shutdown execution.
* Ensure maintenance activities and strategies are effective and relevant to the
equipment maintenance plan.
* Issue various reports to monitor compliances and ensure that maintenance related
KPIs are successfully met.
* Generate monthly maintenance report which includes budget status
* Support the development of procedures for implementing the key processes of the
central maintenance planning section.
* Provide input for preparation of the Department budgets and assist in the
implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives
* To assist in competency based training programs for UAE national staff.
In addition to the Planning Engineer position, I am acting as Budget and Cost
Engineer
And the job responsibilities for Budget and Cost Engineer are:
* Prepare department budget report & trends, analyze monthly budget variances reports
and issue variance reports to Department Manager and Section Heads.
* Coordinate with Maintenance Sections Heads and Planning Engineers for preparation
of CAPITAL and Operating Budget for succeeding year in line with long term business
plan.
* Prepare periodic progress reports on budget & cost.
* Coordinate with Maintenance Sections, Planning and Contract Engineers, Business
Support and other Divisions for accruals, budget variations and all budget related
clarifications.
* Provide inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of budget and cost
control procedures/ practices
* Develop effective cost reporting with cost analysis and trends to update management
on the budget spending
