Responsible for developing the organization corporate strategies, corporate KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and developing strategic performance reports to the corporate management, facilitating the analysis sessions for strategic performance reviews with corporate management, aligning divisional and departmental objectives with corporate strategies. Also in charge of IT service delivery and corporate quality management. Material procurement, inventory management and warehousing added to the duties since May 2009.
Leading planning and technology assessment activities, responsibilities include establishing a cooperate knowledge repository ( a knowledge base containing knowledge produced within the organization or knowledge licensed to use by a third party), exploring country information and country initial assessment for international operations, evaluating emerging technologies and their market readiness, exploring market size and economy indicators at territory, country or regional levels, overseeing the implementation of the organization Policies & Procedures and managing the cultural impacts associated with P&P implementation.
Head of IT in the Western Region (Main Regional Center in King Khalid National Guards Hospital, King Abulaziz Onchlogy Center and thirteen primary healthcare centers covering the area from Madina north to Gizan south). Achievements during ’97 includes implementation of electronic messaging application (MS-Exchange), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution evaluation & deployment planning, Automobile Dealership Management requirement definition & system evaluation (sales service and parts at the branch level and import, distribution and logistics at head office level), Document Imaging Solution implementation and researches in voice, data and fax communication Integration.
Introduced IT Outsourcing Strategy to the company, Developed IT outsourcing contracts with key IS/IT suppliers, Implemented Customer Help Desk System, Introduced ISO 9000 QMS discipline to Customer Help Desk processes, Initiated the Implementation of Wide Area Network Project to convert islands of local area networks into one enterprise wide network covering all company location in KSA, (total of 700 nodes), Implementation of corporate wide electronic mail systems. Migration from distributed to centralized computing environment, Implementation of order entry system in Savola Snack Food and Savola Chocolate companies, an active member in major BPR and process renovation projects.
Defining Corporate Planning information requirements, defining the engineering specifications for Corporate Planning IT systems, corporate management representative in key IT projects sponsored by corporate management such as Strategic Information System Planning, Business Risk Assessment, Corporate Data Modeling, World Wide Energy Database, and several Others.
Managing a team of eight software engineers and four technology consultants (from Price Waterhouse) responsible for planning evaluation and deployment of IT tools and methodologies related to information system developments, management and control. (Tools such as CASE, Configuration Management, Problem Management, etc., )
Managing a team of 10 engineers, programmers, and operators responsible for the implementation monitoring and support of major oil refinery computer application implemented in three oil refinery and several bulk plants around the kingdom.
As a project engineer, I worked with system development contractors (Bonner & More, ASEC, Al-Falak) and consulting companies (Arthur D. Little) in Saudi Arabia and overseas on major system development and implementation project for Petromine oil refineries.
