• Planning, organizing, implementing & reviewing the goals of OSP Inspectors & Contractors of the assigned Construction’s project in Eastern region.
• Monitoring implementation of FTTH networks Dammam, Safwa, Jubail, Royal Commission Jubail, and Ras Tanura, as FTTH site Engineer.
• Making strategies for the implementation plan with concerned site supervisor.
• Conducting weekly meeting with the Contractors, taking feedback of the previously given assignments, updating record accordingly and assigning further action; preparation of meeting minutes.
• Coordinating schedules and activities, and tracking daily progress and results.
• Keeping and updating records PAT, OIL’s, SDR and PAT notifications).
• Reviewing and approving the Site Discrepancies and the Site Instruction’s report during implementation (within agreed time frame); If required.
• Provide guidance to OSP Inspectors & Contractors in upcoming hurdles and obstacles of the construction’s implementation and recommend alternative solutions.
• Follow up of DBOQ and survey progress for newly awarded FTTH sites with Contractors.
• Monitoring and supervising the installation, testing and commissioning of FTTH projects according to the STC standard and specification.
• Random check of site construction, quality of work according to approved route map and specifications.
• Final review and approval of PAT binder/ As-Built documentation before processing the PAT binder for invoicing.
• Controlling and monitoring the performance of the field operations of OSP Contractors and their Sub-contractors.
• Follow up and grant approval for all technical, design and engineering changes, and its related alteration of the project.
• Ensure the safety, security polices and material quality standard are applied.
• I have Coordination with planning section for optical fiber optic network development.
• To supervise implementation of OFC Cable lying and fixation in Manholes, Hand holes and also termination of OFC Cable in ODF, FDT, ODB and TBs.
• Responsible of fault localization report, with the help of OTDR, VFL, FLS and FPM.
• To supervise optical fiber cable splicing work (single mode) in PTCL network development department according to the PTCL standard and specifications.
• I have practice of using Fujikura, Fittel and Somitomo Fusion Splicing Machines for the splicing of Optical Fibers as well as OTDR.
• I have grip on fiber related test setups and tools
• Organize Site surveying and suggesting cable route, for the existing route where ever there is some obstacle or unfavorable conditions.
• Coordination with project engineer to avoid damage to their cable during our implementation.
• Analyzing and identifying the problems on site and resolving them according to the standards.
• Assuring appropriate safety at site.
• Assuring the specification of the equipment and material used on site.
• Monitoring the Civil work on the site such as specification of trench’s width and depth.
• Monitoring the Cable laying inside the HDPE ducts as per standard and specification.
• Supervising the Splicing and jointing work according to the standard and specifications.
• Offering for PAT and getting acceptance
