Duties and Responsibilities:
Directly supervise and coordinate all the Bodyshop activities, Scheduling work, monitor processes,
materials, or surroundings. Monitoring and reviewing information, Making decisions and solving
problems. Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
• Supervises activities of the automotive paint and body shop
• Planning, inspecting and participating and assigning duties repair and paint jobs of automotive-body
workers/painters.
• Assists Service Advisors in Body Shop related problems and makes suggestions and
recommendations for their solution.
• Supervises and participates in the repair and painting of damaged vehicles and equipment, including frame straightening and panel alignments.
• Supervises the purchase and inventory of necessary supplies and equipment and the maintenance
and care of all tools and equipment.
• Directs the work activities of body shop employees, including their observance of deadlines and
productivity levels, as well as the maintenance of quality standards.
• Achieves a reasonable operating profit for the department and maintains customer satisfaction
standards, while containing expenses.
• In consultation with the Bodyshop Manager / After Sales Manager establish and administer operating
standards and policies.
• To ensure all Health and Safety rules are followed and identify risk and areas for improvement.
• To ensure that denting/painting materials are used in the most economical way and control purchase
and stock levels.
• Prepares accident estimates of damaged vehicles and maintains accurate records.
• To carry out accurate estimates ensuring a blend of profitable pricing and job retention.
• Ensure that staff productivity is maintained at 100% with idle time kept to a minimum
• Doing Road Test prior to releasing / Quality Inspection
• Supervise the Auto Detailers in making the automobiles look immaculate and clean, both inside and out.
Responsible for leading and overall management of the Bodyshop and carbon fiber operations by
monitoring staff, driving sales performance, and optimizing utilization of market potential to maximize
business revenue and achieve profits while ensuring high level of customer satisfaction at every step.
The role includes meeting productivity and efficiency targets and ensuring a high level of customer retention.
•Ensures proper communication flow within the department, in order to ensure maximum efficiency,
and highest service levels to other departments and customers.
•Manages the Body shop and carbon fiber activities to ensure the team achieves the required standards of after sales service. This includes monitoring the efficiency and productivity of the Bodyshop and identifying improvement areas through feedback received from direct team members.
•Accompanies walk-in customers and those booked as per the service schedule to carry out a visual
inspection of the vehicle. This primarily involves making a mental note of customer complaints and
managing their expectations.
•Completes the Pre-order form to accurately record vehicle and customer information, complaints and
uncovered issues.
•Determines nature of repair or service required and estimates the job order in terms of pricing to
provide clarity to customer on the job prior to obtaining approval and authorization. This includes
advising any increase in costs (for Carbon fiber & body parts or repair) in case additional jobs are
required to be done, accordingly prepare a price estimate.
Sets and agrees a vehicle delivery date with the Body Shop team to advise the customer of any
•schedule changes and set his delivery expectations.
•Checks service measure for each chassis and coordinate with the workshop team to carry out vehicle diagnosis and rectify the defect.
•Follows up the progress of each job order during the day to meet set deadlines.
•Cross checks the original customer complaint in the pre-order form against the job card operation
numbers to carry out final control.
•Prepares the invoice to update the customer on the final (discounted) payment and collect the vehicle.
This includes setting a time for delivery.
•Takes the customer through the work done, test report and invoice to ensure full understanding of the
level of service provided and the costs involved.
•Contacts customer for follow-up after the delivery to check whether the vehicle is running smoothly.

Plans, directs, and coordinates the operation of vehicle maintenance and repair programs for
all city Transport buses.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates the city transport system.
• Prepares and directs in-service training programs for newly employed personnel.
• Reviews purchase requests for new and replacement vehicles.
• Prepares short and long range plans for transit system operation including transit routing and
scheduling.
• Plans and administers a preventive maintenance and vehicular replacement program for the
green buses.
• Receives and processes vehicle accident and damage reports.
• Prepares cost analysis and periodic management and operational reports.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Thorough knowledge of transit system management and operations.
• Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of vehicular maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of the principles of organization and administration.
• Ability to supervise the work of others.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, superiors and
the general public.
