RESPONSIBILITIES:
• P&ID walk down of Utility & Process system to generate the punch list.
• Coordinate execution and organization of all Commissioning punch when required.
• Prepare Commissioning dossier and procedures
• Participate in work pack review session with internal meeting.
• Participate in meetings, inspection and Tri- party walks
• Prepare and maintain commissioning records of site observation, testing processes and checklist.
• Ensure to supervise technician to carry out commissioning activities in a safe and controlled
manner in accordance with site procedures and PTW requirements.
• PTB (Pre Task Briefing) meeting to plan the task for a day.
• To ensure the completion system PIMS has all necessary data for sub system with hanging
garden chart.
• Boundary Mark up P&ID for al system.
• Commissioning Punch list categorization with A & B in ALTERA format.
• Reporting to Altera Commissioning Manager for progress and planning.

Review of P&ID, GA, 2D layout, and updating the same as per client requirements.
• Preparation of Operating manual, Design Qualification, FAT report & Control philosophy.
• Carrying out trails for pilot plants, commercial, Short path distillation unit(SPDU), Agitated thin
film reactor(ATFE), agitated thin film dryer(ATFD), Rising film Evaporator (RFE).
• Preparation of Bought outs list, Line list, valve list and Instruments list.
• Preparation and ready for Factory acceptance test for Client inspection.
• Getting offers from the vendors for pump, instruments, and evaluating the same.
• Preparation of RFQ, DIC( Design input checklist).FAT, SAT, Hazop, Instrument specification
sheet.
• Execution of Pre-Commisioning and commissioning of plant.

Project: HMEL REFINERY DFCU UNIT

P&ID plant walk down activities and preparation of punch lists. Dilution of Punch Points.
• Steam Blowing, Air blowing & chemical cleaning within the battery limit for critical lines and
package items.
• Review laboratory test results to ensure that products meet specifications and arranged for
adjustments to be carried out to maintain quality standards.
• Perform the conformity checks on multiple discipline system.
• Support Control room Operations during the Commissioning, Startup and Performance Testing.
• Develop plan, SOPs and checklist for plant startup after chemical charging.
• Ensure completion of PSSR and other pending safety activities before startup.
• Technically Evaluate and Analyze and take necessary corrective actions and Modifications to
ensure smooth plant startup and Ramp up.
• Ensure and Support training of the operating and maintenance crew for plant operation.
• Preparation, Execution for MRT and Load Trial of the Rotary Equipments like Centrifugal and
Positive displacement Pumps and compressors.
• Commissioning of OSBL Utility lines- Instrument Air, Plant Air, Nitrogen and Service water.
• Monitor and control of all plant process parameters by DCS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• P&ID review. Process Simulation using Aspen HYSYS.
• Simulation for Gas Dehydration Unit (GDU) using Aspen HYSYS.
• HAZOP studies on cross country pipelines of P&IDs of IOCL.
• Sketching of PFDs along with Preparation of Technical Datasheets.
• Performing in-depth Datasheet for Equipments, Lines, Instruments and Valves.
• Line walk, System conformity.
• Preparing missing items list and get procurement by client.
• Getting MCC done and certified by TPI.
• Obtaining missing documents and complete the dossier.
• Perform pre-commissioning activities.
• Performing Pre-commissioning activities like System conformity test, LP leak test, HP leak test,
Nitrogen Purging.
• Activity risk assessment for pre-commissioning & commissioning activity.
• Attend the PTW meeting with HSE on the day before start of the activity to revalidate the TRA
in case of high risk activity.
• Shall attach the TRA for HRA along with the submission of the permit / certificate

environment.
• Damaged limits identification and quantification of the risk and contour mapping on the layout.

• Open-as it is inspection of process heat exchangers and cooling water exchangers from both
shell and tube side, before cleaning and after cleaning.
• Inspection of process columns/strippers internally from process perspective.
• Inspection of process heaters internally including inspection of burners, process coils, air pre
heaters, checking heater burner alignment based on check list & reporting necessary
observations.
• Updating status of shutdown jobs on continuous basis in the prescribed plant during the schedule
given.
• Collection of deposits, residues etc., and submit to QC laboratory.
• Observation of healthiness based on guidelines provided by engineer in charge & putting up
observations notes based on inspection.
• Completed the Line cleaning activities of piping system of Flare, Fuel gas, Instrument Air, LP
Steam, MP steam, etc.
• Performed the leak test of the above systems.
• Steam blowing of MP steam and LP steam.
• Inspected the vessels and columns as per client requirement.
• Performed the lube oil flushing of compressor system.
• Executed the Machine Run Test (MRT) of pumps.
• Checking rotating equipment alignments.
