• Assessment the level of competition in the Telecommunications market
• Assessment the compliance of Retail and Wholesale offers, New products, discounts and rebates with competition rules and regulatory obligations in Telecommunications sector before the approval
• Reviewing compatibility of interconnection agreements between operators with regulatory frameworks.
• Participating in disputes resolution among licensees with regards to access and competition
• Investigating in illegal behaviors like collusion and abuse of dominant position.
• Investigating in unfair competition practices such as: goods and services unfair presentation, confusing customers and misleading public.

• Monitoring merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions in the Telecommunications sector and studying the impact of such transaction on the level of competition and Propose a proper recommendations for approving or rejecting M&A.
• Conduct international benchmarking studies in the area of regulatory policies.
• Participating in Market Review exercise (Regulatory Reform) through Public consultation Process which includes: Proposing the necessary regulatory change and handling stakeholder comments in efficient manner.
• Report to the management about the challenges and development in Telecommunications Sector.
• Measure and analyze financial information for regulated companies.
• Assess economic feasibility studies for new Telecommunications companies as part of assessment process of license application
• Participating in preparing strategic plan for TRC to achieve general government policy for telecommunications sector
• Assessment of Telecommunications service prices such as broadband and mobile by studying the cost structure of each service.
