Main duties:
• Conducting thorough reviews of project schedules provided by contractors for accuracy
and compliance.
• Analyzing schedule submissions to identify potential delays and discrepancies
• Study and determination Extension of Time (EOT) for construction projects.
• Conducting in-depth analyses of project schedules to assess delays and impacts.
• Presenting findings and recommendations to clients and regulatory authorities.
• Providing expert advice on schedule adjustments and mitigation strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations related to EOT provisions.
• Coordinating with legal and contractual experts to support dispute resolution processes.
• Conducting risk assessments and proposing preventive measures to mitigate future
delays.
• Performed a comparison between the baseline schedule versus the actual
costs/resources usage and progress achieved.
• Developed standard work practices for developing and maintaining baseline schedules.
• Prepared a re-baseline schedule based on further projects adjustment and productivity rates.
• Designed baseline schedules for projects delivery within the workshop department.
• Maintained Project's Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports, coordinated with the consultant
for projects progress updates.
• Regularly update the Project Coordinator and Program Manager on work in-progress,
completed by IOCC’s local partners in the field, and submit weekly reports, including all
information regarding project implementation.
• Sign off all handover, project-related documents/reports with the contractor(s)/ local partners
related to the rehabilitation of houses.
• Consult with the Project Manager on any payment/voucher that needs to be signed, as well
as with the Finance and Administration Manager regarding payments and required
supporting documentation.
• Support the development of concept notes and proposals for new projects and
suggest/discuss recommendations for new project activities with the Project Manager
• Carry out any additional tasks as requested.
• Time Impact Analysis in coordination with the planning manager.
• Monitoring the progress on site against the schedule
• Review and assessment of submitted Contractor's work schedule, monitoring and updating
the schedule of work.
• Prepare a look ahead for the project manager, client & and site engineers.
• Prepare Contractual letters related to Wok's progress, resources, and critical activities.
• Prepare curves showing a comparison between planned and actual completion percentages.
• Prepare daily, weekly & monthly reports.
• Good experience in site construction activities.
• Advising on cost risk by performing critical path analyses.
• Monitoring the materials submittals, approvals, procurement, and delivery to the site to the time
schedule
• Perform regular work inspections to assure the quality of works and compatibility
with agreed specifications, standards, and drawings.
• Check and validate with the Program Manager each invoice presented by the contractor for the
quantities that are implemented on the site before making the required payment.
• Prepare with the contractor and respective authority/owner for the handing over of each site
when the project is near to finished.
• Prepare, check the quality and accuracy of all documents submitted by the field staff
(Drawings, B.O.Qs, beneficiary lists, reports, analysis, forms etc.). Needs assessments
and follow-up.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of baseline, end-line and needs
assessments and coordinate with the AMEU and PD team as necessary.
• Ensure adequate and timely data collection and compilation.
• Prepare weekly field reports to be submitted to WASH Project Manager.
• Supervise regularly activities of relevant staff and progress of works.
• Make sure that all subordinated staff follow ACTED procedures.
• Communicate with the line manager and relevant staff for any difficulties linked
to project implementation and propose solutions.
• Draft and follow up of program correspondence and reports in coordination.
• Prepare and submit activity reports (with the supporting data, if necessary) and assist the Programmer Development team when reports are due to the
donor.
Civil site Engineer at Khalifah INT Contracting Company, DISI Water Project
• Assisting the project manager in the tasks required to complete project targets related to infrastructure rehabilitation, construction and installation, in addition to Train junior technicians, prepare BOQ, suggest a design.
• Supervising of the constructions designed by our company from the foundations to the finishing.
• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors;
• Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines;
• Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site;
• Preparing reports as required;
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
