Job description : Bone Marrow Transplant "BMT" staff nurse able to deal with different types of BMT chemotherapy's protocols and take care of patients pre, intra, and post Allogenic, autologus, and cord transplant .
- Oriented about neutropenic fever, septic shock, CMV and GVHD and the clinical guide line practice to manage these problems and other problems .
- Chemotherapy administrations and other medications such as cyclosporine, prograf, cellcept and other cytotoxic medications .
○ BMT room is built as ICU room (20 single isolated room contain 1 bed in each room and monitored by central monitor, which contains a positive pressure filter).
○Nurse Patient Ratio: 1:2
○Number of Working Hours: 48 hrs per week.
○ Nurse deals with: other nurses, physicians, nutritionists, and social workers..
Nursing theories, Nursing scientific research, Biostatistics, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Physical examination, Oncology I,II,III, Policies, Ethics, and Graduation project, in addition to clinical training at king Hussein cancer center for 3 semesters during studying.
Fundamental of Nursing, Adult I, II " Medical- Surgical", Physical examination, pathophysiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Maternity, Pediatric, Community Health, and Psychiatry.
