- Providing professional and time-sensitive legal advice on wide range of the commercial and operational aspects of the business, for several business units (EPC - Utilities - Chemicals), in several jurisdictions in Africa, among which (Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Rwanda, South Africa, Seychelles, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda).
- Reviewing, drafting, and advising on public procurement, tender documents, joint ventures, consortiums, FIDIC standard forms of contracts, and subcontracts, throughout the different phases of the projects (pre-biding to post-award).
- Leading the contract management team during pre- and post-execution phases of the projects, to ensure accurate analysis of terms & conditions, submitting claims, variations orders, and all other contractual communications.
- Leading the legal team and developing a legal strategy to maximize the interests of the shareholders and enhance the risk profile.
- Leading the government liaison team to develop and promote communication channels with and government entities and regulatory authorities.
- Analyzing new laws & regulations to determine potential impact on the business and advising on current laws, policies, and regulations to ensure compliance regarding tax, health & safety, environment, anticorruption, and other regulatory issues.
- Handling corporate affairs & regulatory issues (incorporation of new entities, registration of partnerships, corporate restructuring, licenses, shareholder resolutions).
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on various commercial contracts.
- Supporting the global investment team in handling mergers and acquisitions.
- Negotiate, defend, and represent the group in all disputes to reach satisfactory settlement, either amicably or through arbitration and courts.
- Hiring and liaising with external law firms.
- Raising legal awareness among Directors and several teams throughout the organization.
- Providing professional legal advice to the Board of Directors, MD, CEO, Executive Directors, and various business units throughout the group of the companies (diversified investment portfolio, among which: Logistics, Outsourcing, Healthcare, Education, Entertainment, Real Estate Investments, Service Arm and many more), in several jurisdictions.
- Advising on worldwide corporate restructuring, new projects, joint ventures and related sale, purchase, FIDIC standard forms of contracts, and all business & commercial transactions.
- Managing and leading the legal team.
- Ensuring that all business units are in compliance with laws, policies, and regulations.
- Hiring and liaising with external law firms.
- Handling corporate affairs & regulatory issues.
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts.
- Investigating reported violation and lead the disciplinary committee.
- Leading and managing dispute settlement (amicable, arbitration, and litigation).
- Providing professional legal advice to the Board of Directors, CEO, Executive Directors, and all the business units (logistics, retails, sales, spare parts, service, POV, lease, and customer services).
- Developing legal strategy and raising legal awareness among employees throughout the organization.

- Transferring the budget of the legal department from cost to investment in sustainability.
- Handling governance issues and ensuring that all business units are in compliance with laws, policies, and regulations.

- Drafting, negotiating, reviewing, forming opinion, and advising on various legal documents (Complex Business Transactions, Various Agreements, Proxy Materials, MOUs, Pleadings, Motions, Briefs, and Dispute Resolutions).
- Handling employment and procurement legal issues.
- Handling corporate governance issues.
- Investigating reported violations of policies.
- Handling corporate affairs (incorporation, licensing, structuring).
- Advising on FIDIC standard forms of contracts (EPC, FEED, EPIC) during tender process.
- Providing professional legal advice to high profile decision-making on wide range of aspects and that includes but not limited to Qatar’s worldwide investments.
- Drafting, negotiating, reviewing, forming opinion, and advising on various legal documents (Various Agreements, Policies, Resolutions, By-Laws, Decrees, Legislations, Treaties, MOUs).
- Prior analysis of high value transactions of all governmental bodies and state-owned entities.
- Handling employment and procurement legal issues.

- Supervising, coaching, and training junior lawyers.
