3. Greif project with Gulf icon company ( 11th April 2015 until now )
The project was to construct factory for Grief which is German company produce drums.
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Major task was to supervise the installation of factory equipment and machineries. ( paint booth and oven until now )
• Maintain the contact between the contractor and client
• All the external networks: sewerage, fire fighting and electrical duct, with all their manholes.
• All external facilities: HVAC, pump room, water tank, paint store, guard house and LPG.
• Finishing: Tiles, painting, plastering, doors, windows and cement board, by following consultant requirement.
2. Work as a Site Engineer in JALAL ALAALI ( Jasco ), for sewerage project at Karranah village from 26th March 2013 - 8th April 2015:
Proposed sewer scheme for Karranah block 456 & 460
Karranah sewerage scheme project includes 5100m mainline, 2500 lateral line and 260 manholes, there are 2 pump stations and 1 lift station, 50m micro tunnelling below Budiya highway, in additional 360 house connection.
a. General site supervision: Site layout, Excavation, Bedding, Pipe laying, Backfilling, Manhole formwork, concreting, Asphalt work dealing with electromechanical work.
b. Documentation controlling for project paperwork.
c. Corresponding papers with all parties:
i. Ministry of Work ( SEPPD & SRPPD )
ii. Ministry of Interior ( traffic division )
d. All permissions needed:
i. Traffic management plan.
ii. Over pumping for existing sewerage network.
iii. Dewatering system.
iv. Crossing for all services.
v. Confined space entrance.
e. Surveying work.
f. Dealing with all crossing services
i. WDD & EDD services
ii. TSE lines with 12par
iii. Existing sewerage networks
iv. Batelco lines ( telecom )
g. Meet all houses owner, dealing with their requirement and issues.
h. Difficulties:
Karranah is considered as one of most congested villages in Bahrain, which make the any activity difficult to do, such as the Excavation that will be done in loos soil need for tight shoring ( sheet pile and frames ), with high water table need for dewatering pumps.
Existing services is real challenge due to lack of spaces to excavate, provide shoring, pipe laying or backfilling activities, specially the existing sewerage network which the proposed plan was to replace it with new one, due to its age and material the dealing with it was difficult, in addition that over pumping system must be provided.
Connect the new network to existing one, which is always above invert level of the proposed line make difficulties, starting from the procedure of reducing the flow to the finishing by lamination.
One more issue should be mentioned is vandalism, or unrest activities which happened continuously and affect the program and force to make some rework again and again.
i. Karranah project contain some of new application such as precast manholes ( HDPE ) and using bonding jell instead of concrete.
1. 14 months in Sayed Kadhim Al-Drazi company for construction (SKD), included 2 month at industrial training for the university, summer 2012 at HRRP housing project, includes 1000 house rebuilding.
