Key Project:
• BIM Adoption, Implementation and Integration Strategy (2011-12): Produced a long term strategy to take an industry lead in Building Information Modelling. This involved many brainstorming sessions with BIM experts worldwide. Concisely filtered and streamlined various ideas to fit into an educational environment.
Highlights:
 Developed a multi-pronged approach to immediate, medium and long-term strategic integration of BIM into existing paradigms and course outlines.
 Created a model on Revit to showcase to staff members the full integration of BIM with Exactel’s CostX for 5D operations such as Quantity Take-Off and Cost Estimation.
 Initiated the acquisition of Vico Office Suite for lab use. Unitec is currently the only tertiary training organisation in New Zealand to trial the Vico suite for 4D and 5D operations.
 Conducted testing in the interoperability of BIM applications between BIM authoring tools and Construction Management tools. Successfully developed a system of procedures, to fully customise a model to work seamlessly in Naviswork for 4D operations, including clash detection and construction simulations.
Major Achievements:
• Brought in to lead a team in developing a long-term strategy for implementing BIM. This was achieved by integrating BIM in a modular fashion into various courses and further through the development of a BIM protocol.
• Awarded further responsibilities as a Course Coordinator within one year. Currently coordinating two flagship courses for Bachelor of Construction and National Diploma in Architectural Technology.
• Often called on to deliver lectures to Post-Grad students, and the online presentation has been viewed over 1000 times by professionals and students all over New Zealand. (Please see link for viewing.)

• SENIOR DESIGNER - Balu Commercial / Apartment Building, Wellington (2007-08)
 Oversee detailed input for this multi-storey mixed use building. Construction details included prefab concrete panels, complicated parapets, facades, deck and canopies.
Major Achievements:
• Due to a strong quality and customer first approach, generated strong ongoing and referral business.
• Played a key role in managing a wide range of high profile building and construction projects including leading an offshore team of consultants to design a $50-100m project with Six-Star rating for sustainability.
