- Develop, in conjunction with the Project Sponsor, a definition of the project
- Ensure that the project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standard
- Liaison with, and updates progress to, project steering board and senior management
- Ensure the project is effectively resourced
- Manage co-ordination of the partners and working groups engaged in the project
- Schedule tasks, deadlines and milestones for all stakeholders and resources
- Manage project scope and change control
- Monitor project progress and performance, provide status reports
- Record and manage project issues/risks, escalate where necessary

Oversee the critical projects from the technical perspective.
Guide the team leaders in building and skill development of the technical teams.
Work with the team leaders to ensure efficient utilization for the resources.
An escalation point for the major technical issues of the projects.
Identify and assess the project’s technical risks and mitigation plan.
Schedule tasks, deadlines and milestones for project stakeholders and resources.
Convert the requirements into an architecture and design that will become the blueprint for the solution being created.
Research on technologies, approaches, and design patterns critical to the architecture.
