•Heading a department consisting of 55 employees.
•Managing procurement strategies starting from requirement analyses, tendering, evaluation of bids and vendors, contract negotiations with vendors, award of contracts through to dispute resolution etc.
•Managing purchase of all kinds of goods such as production raw materials, spare parts, maintenance consumables, furniture, office equipment, computer systems, air conditioning systems, laboratory equipment, lab consumables, production equipment etc. procurement of all types of services such as feasibility, process & other technical studies, consultancy services, plant operation contracts, civil works, general plant maintenance, production plant general shutdown & overhaul etc.
•Responsible for all warehousing activities, including inventory planning.
•Responsible for all logistics activities of imported goods, equipment, and chemicals.
•Responsible for vendors evaluation (pre-qualification, performance monitoring, post evaluation).
•Responsible for setting the objectives, targets, and KPI's, for the department, and monitoring the application of quality measures.
