Construction supervision and materials testing of a 600 millions riyals khurais interchange in Riyadh city. The project comprises of a main bridge with four loops two directional ramps and four kilometer additional approach roads.
Construction supervision of 3 billion riyals rehabilitation (jail)facility buildings.The jail comprises barracks for men, women along with support buildings like kitchen laundry hospital workshop for training inmates, office buildings for security forces. Different components of the facility are connected a network of internal roads. being structural inspector had a chance to work on all kind of building works from earth work to finishes. Remained part of the road supervision team.
Responsible for execution of all civil works which includes but not limited to reconstruction of piers, wharves, service trenches, services roads and approaches. The scope of civil works includes testing of existing piles, reskinning of the piles, demolition of deck slab, pile caps, traverse beam, fascia beam .kerb beams, utility tunnel, asphalt pavement, service trench and then reconstruction of them. Due to severe climatic conditions and chlorides effect except piles all other structural elements are dismantled and reconstructed to prolong the service life of piles .Special kind of self compacted concrete is used for reskinning of the piles for the first time in Saudi Arabia .
The project is of prime importance as the normal activities of base must continue during the construction phase.
Al Qasar Housing project was a billion riyal project of Dar Al ARKAN group .As a structural engineer was responsible for supervision of structural works which included excavation, backfilling, concreting and, waterproofing. The project was designed to cater for the growing housing demand in Riyadh city so being the consultant our aim was to facilitate quality construction in minimum time. Remained part of architectural department after finishing structural works .Supervised the construction of block works, plastering, painting, ceramic tiles, marble tiles installation, doors and windows installation during my stay with architectural.
As a member of the supervision team for the project was
responsible for the quality assurance execution of the civil
activities at site which includes but not limited to layout, excavation, formworks, lean concrete, reinforcement, reinforced : concrete, curing of concrete, testing of concrete samples,
expansion joints, pest control, back filling, block work,
plastering, road construction works etc.
Through out the project American codes and standards were
used for inspection and quality assurance.
Apart from site activities I was responsible for drawing review,
weekly and monthly progress reports preparation, estimation of civil related quantities, ensuring material quality as per specifications.
: Was a member of the design team for LOA3 project for Saudi
National Guard .The various activities involved were reviewing
the shop drawings, reviewing material submittals, preparation of
bill of quantities for the sites, documentation of the records,
monitoring site progress & reporting to client the status of the
project. Estimated quantities & prepared civil part of the B.O.Q
for Grain Silos Head Quarters building at Riyadh. Designed
surface drainage, Sewage system & storm drainage system for
Nursing College Project of Saudi National Guard at Riyadh.
Water & sewage treatment plant at Al Khobar for Ministry Of Defense & Aviation.
Construction supervision of 750M3/day capacity water Treatment plant & 300 M3/day sewage treatment plant. The
water treatment plant included a pre-fabricated Kirby equipment building, offices, control room, concrete water tank, evaporation pond, chemical warehouse, asphalt paving and piping network.
The sewage treatment plant included equipment room, treated sewage tank, chlorine contact tank, aeration tank, septic
tanks, lifting stations and piping network.
Water treatment plant at HRH Prince Bandar Bin Sultan palace.
Construction supervision of 1500M3/day capacity water Treatment plant converting existing water treatment plant into a
raw water tank. Construction of 500 M 3 capacity under ground water tank.
Water supply scheme at Sulail for MODA
Construction supervision of water supply scheme, which included construction of control room, water tank, Pumping
station and piping network.
Construction of equipment room & water tank at Hafar Al Batin for MODA .
Construction supervision of equipment room and water tank for MODA.
Supervised and coordinated the maintenance activities for civil and architectural disciplines at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building . Designing, estimating and executing
additional/alteration works. Preparation of monthly progress / activity reports.
Project Management Cell
Responsible to coordinate and focus the activities of different road supervision projects. Preparation of monthly progress
reports and submission to National Highway Authority.
Assisting the site supervisory staff on technical and contractual matters in consultation with the project coordinator.
Preparation of variation orders, verifying claims of the contractors . Remained member of the human resource
committee.
Battagram Paimal Road.
Construction supervision of 20 Km long mountainous farm to Market road funded by Asian Development Bank. Scheduling
the daily activities, preparation of progress reports, quality control, preparation of B.O.Q, testing approval of materials and verifying the claims.
Pehur High Level Canal.
Collection of data for redesigning of the canal. Surveying of the existing structures along the length of the canal to check for the new discharge values.
Sawar- gali Bakote -Muzzafarabad Road.
Conducted traffic count and origin -destination survey for design purposes.
Islamabad Peshawar Motorway.
Conducted utilities survey and traffic count for design purposes
Primary Schools in NWFP.
Selection of sites for primary schools in 24 districts of NWFP for Japan International Cooperation Agency. Preparation of feasibility report and B.O.Q for all sites.
Construction of Wapda Equipment Workshop at Mardan.
Construction supervision of water and power development
authority’s equipment workshop. Preparation of construction
schedule. Raising running bills. Verification of sub contractor’s claims. Reporting daily and weekly progress reports to client.
