Represent CCE as a Project Engineer - Interface and Engineering Lead for the following projects in SADARA Chemical Plant:
1- Polyethylene Control Operation Buildings “SADARA-COB”
2- SADARA Temporary Facilities and Main Site Preparation, Security Systems & Telecom Services “SADARA - PREP”
- Main Roles & Responsibilities:
The Scope of Interfaces, Include:
- Identify of Inside Battery Limits (ISBL) and Outside Battery Limits (OSBL) project interfaces with other contractors/assets including, DEC Contractor (ABB), IT/Telecom Contractor (ITC), Interconnecting & Power Facilities Contractor (ICF), Integrated Security System Contractor (ISS), Royal Commission (RC), High Commission of Industrial Security Consultant (HCIS) and others.
- Define, validate and priorities all project interfaces according to the project scope and customer satisfaction in order to develop a final interface matrix with scope description, potential impact, risk and in priority order of each interface point, and develop engineering and execution interface response/execution plans accordingly.
- Create and develop interface coordination meetings calendar with all defined parties on daily, weekly or bi weekly bases and through face-to-face and/or teleconference meetings; to exchange interdependent project information expeditiously, ensure the technical consistency of each interface system and eliminate any interface gaps or overlaps.
- Develop and reach formal interface agreements for each or group of interfaces to include each party requirements, scope assignments and responsibilities with a forecast completion targets and ensure schedule compatibility.
- Track and follow up the interface engineering and construction completion progress to meet the target dates, and update SADARA Program Interface Management Team (PIMT) and database accordingly.
The Scope of Engineering, Include:
- Building-up, managing and leading a group of engineers to support the project team to interpret SADARA technical specs and standards during Engineering, Procurement and Execution phases.
- Define, analyze and create more understandable project scope of work thru reports and presentations.
- Monitor, control and report all potential changes to the project scope and recommend them to be evaluated through project control management system. Work with change management team to evaluate, approve or reject changes and support in build up change orders BOQ and review cost estimates.

- Keep senior management informed of project status and all developments that may have any impact on project schedule, safety and reputation through regular reports.
- Main Achievements:
I successfully and safely accomplished (121) Interface Points for COB project, and (165) Interface Points for PREP project including all disciplines, Civil, Electrical, IT, Instrument, Security and Mechanical systems.
I have been recognized by Program Interface Management Team (PIMT) in several occasions due to the outstanding performance and following up to meet the interface completion targets.
I have been nominated by client management team to lead COB project hand over team to develop the final Project Deliverable & Project Record Books.
I am approved by SADARA as:
- Project Engineer - Field Engineering Coordinator & Interface Lead (COB Project)
- Project Engineer - Interface & Engineering Lead (PREP Project)
Led and accomplished more than 45 successful residential Solar Energy projects from contract inception, execution, operation and maintenance, up to client acceptance.
- Main Roles & Responsibilities:
• Develop department team member’s ability, skills and attitude and create internal processes in accordance with organization policies and best practices.
• Prepare solar solution proposals for potential clients based on the engineering requirements, field conditions, company policies and standards, with a competent feasibility and payback period studies, negotiate prices, create and close contracts.
• Provide feasible solutions with more than 70% yearly saving on the overall home energy bills, the solution includes studying the existing energy source and find options to integrate it with a solar energy source to come up with a reliable and efficient hybrid system with the expected saving. The main solutions include hot water overall the year, space heating during winter season and swimming pool heating during summer.
• Create execution plans; select proper materials, coordinate, communicate daily project management and report to management.
• Create and manage maintenance and after sales service contracts.
It was a very challenging to provide a feasible solution with more than 70% yearly saving on the overall home energy bills, the solution includes studying the existing energy source and find options to integrate it with a solar energy source to come up with a reliable and efficient hybrid system with the expected saving.
