Full Scope of Trade Finance


• D/C issuance and related issues.
• Letter of Guarantees and checking of Amendments.
• Document checking export, import (ordinary, local, back to back and transfer) and refinance.
• Advising of discrepancies and settlements.
• Negotiation of documents in time for which negotiation is restricted to our counter.
• Receiving the claims and honouring the same as per L.C. terms.
• Maturity advice to the presenting bank as well as to the applicants (import), to the beneficiary and presenting party (export).
• Making advice for the remitted documents to the applicants and acknowledgements.
• Handling of Assignment of proceeds.
• Handle the collection documents.
• Refinance settlements.
• Coordinating with accounts department for reconciliation.
• Coordinating with all branches and dealing department for other currency rates and cover of funds.
• Handle all export settlements.
• Handle all kind of SWIFT messages and FTS system.
• Reports to UAE Central bank related to AML and Goods listed/unlisted in UN sanctions.
• All kind of correspondence with branches, local banks and foreign banks.
• Deal with customers to solve their all queries.
• Cancellation of unutilized/expired LCs.
• To follow up on overdue and expired transactions.
• Providing training to new staff.
• Knowledge of UCP600, ISBP, ISP98, URR-725, URDG-758, URC.
• Knowledge of AML and KYC etc.
• Knowledge of LC Discounting, Cheque Discounting and Trust receipts.
• Custom clearance and wide exposure to shipping documents.


Operations

• Report to Managers and Head of Trade Finance dept.
• Manage a team of 5 staff, which includes 2 - Remittance Personnel, 3- L/C Advising dept.
• Allocate work, monitor and take action in business unit to achieve department / unit objectives.
• Supervise operations and provide support to ensure that agreed service standards are achieved.
• Manage and control staff productivity related to daily processing requirements.
• Develop capabilities of subordinate staff to achieve work unit objectives.
• Manage and administer issues related to staff leave, training, attendance issues in timely manner.
• Ensure that e-mail, messages and other correspondence are responded within defined time frame. Adherence to prescribed procedures / guidelines at all times.
• Ensure completion of any other responsibilities assigned from time to time.
• Ensure that credit approval is in place per policy and procedure guidelines.
• Co-ordinate with customers, to gain an understanding of clients’ business needs & analyses information to assist in determining appropriate strategy.
• Conducts presentations and meetings to external customers for soliciting their business.
• To monitor compliance with transactional controls, systems and procedures of LC and ensure compliance with the Central bank guidelines and policy.








Remittances

• Knowledge of SWIFT.
• Prepare reconciliation statements of customer accounts, gather, sort and research records and files to provide factual data and trace discrepancies to reconcile accounts.
• Perform effective coordination with local and international banks (Nostro and Vostro Accounts).
• Achieve a high standard of personalized effective and efficient customer services, while ensuring high level of operational control. Investigate / resolve complaints pertaining to remittances.
