Responsibilities:
• Confer with sites and other members of the engineering team & conduct research to determine suitable engineering formwork solutions & their subsequent formwork planning on the basis of material availability & casting dates of the various structural elements.

• Design & load assessment calculations of various types of formwork for structural elements such as slabs, pour strips, beams, ramps, columns & shear walls, core walls, double sided & single sided retaining walls as per BS codes taking into account the necessary safety factors for consultant submittal & approval.

• Preparation of suitable formwork shop drawings including design & fabrication drawings & their subsequent material lists & liaising of the submittal with the site teams, material yard & suppliers to ensure the correct supply, erection & execution of the formwork provided.

• Preparation of formwork material distribution lists to confirm the items required from material yard and the items for rent/purchase by the sites based on shortage calculations.

• Confer & coordinate with various formwork suppliers for quotations of the required rental/purchase items in order to provide the sites with a cost effective quote.

• Technical meetings with the site teams on request in case of further clarifications on technical matters regarding design & erection and to discuss material shortage requirements.

• Inspection of the erected formwork at site (if required) on the basis of submitted shop drawings and issuance of certificate for the same ensuring completion of works prior to casting of concrete.

• Confer & coordinate with formwork maintenance department & material yard to ensure quality of material by appropriate cleaning techniques for the various systems prior to delivery to sites & after return from the sites.

• Liaising with management, team members, site teams, suppliers & third party companies to ensure smooth and efficient flow of formwork works for the various sites.

• Monitor construction work schedules related to formwork.
• Ensure construction plans meet formwork design & execution guidelines.

Responsibilities:

•Responsible for the delegation and supervision of formworks as the subcontractor

•Preparing Shop Drawings for projects incorporating the design & calculations for support of slabs, beams, columns, one side walls & two side walls and facilitating a prompt execution accommodating the site conditions.

•Supervise formwork/scaffolding works, giving clear instructions to subordinates and site team of the main contractor on erection & installation of the scaffold/formwork systems at site, to ensure quality control and compliance of materials and workmanship.

•Responsible for technical inspection of the site works subsequent to the installation & erection of the Formwork/ scaffold system in accordance with the design specifications.

•Responsible for identifying defects of workmanship against quality standards and discrepancies comparative to the design and arranging to take corrective action as appropriate

•Responsible for formwork/scaffolding/false work field such as load assessment, executing, inspection, technical consulting and developing a variety of temporal work for concrete wall shuttering, slab and beam supports.

•Responsible for managing and issuing safety for the pouring of the slab, beams, one side or two side walls, columns subsequent to the completion and rectification of all works as necessary.

Activities:

•Responsible for the Technical training of newly recruited engineers with the scaffolding & formwork systems and preparation for design of live projects.

•Acting Technical coordinator for the company in the month of August 2016

•Represented the engineering division for the company at the Big 5 exhibition of 2016.
