• Providing engineering support to the field operation & maintenance.
• Prepare mechanical date sheet, equipment specification, material requisition & packages for static equipment.
• Carry out technical assessment of bid documents for services and material required for the works. Participate in the bid clarification meetings with contractors and Vendors to ensure compliance with technical specifications & requirements.
• Review of vendor documents, drawings and design calculations as per code, specification & ITT requirement.
• Doing design calculations for vessel tanks & heat exchangers with software’s like PVElite, Tanks, etc.
• Material selection based on NACE & other process/service requirements
• Review of drawings / design calculations for tank and its component like air vent, breather valve, etc.
• Site Clarification & providing technical support during field construction and commissioning stage.
• Providing inputs for; replacement/modification of existing static equipment & upgrading of existing site facilities.
• Providing support to other disciplines/ job officers/departments/operations for the issues related with static equipment
• Communicate with local and international consulting engineers and vendors, carrying out visits.
• Review of ITB, preparation of proposal write up; identify clarification or exceptions to the customer inquiry, estimate man hours, preparation of price estimation sheet & Bill of Quantity.
• Verify contract technical specification, scope of work, total deliverables & project specification for the execution of project,
• Supervise & participate in the preparation of mechanical date sheet, equipment specification, equipment interface, etc.
• Preparation of inquiry requisition to vendors; participate in the technical evaluation of bid offers & preparation of technical bid evaluations (TBE)
• Review of Vendor documents, clarification & queries.
• Providing necessary inputs for the preparation of plot plans organize issuance of engineering drawing and technical documents for the Inter -Discipline Checks (IDC) and coordinate with other engineering discipline in integration of data.
• Interface & provide clarification and technical support to construction site, commissioning engineers & provide start up assistance as required.
• Interface with HSE, Quality assurance and ensure compliance with company’s procedures.
• Ensure compliance with project principles, process and associated guidelines.
• Static equipments handled includes Instrument air surge drum, Cooling water expansion drum, Blow down drums, KO Drums, Coolers, Raw water Filters, Condensate Deaerator, Condensate tank, Demin water storage tank, etc.)
• Preparation of Engineering Specifications for Separators, Tanks, Heat Exchangers & Pressure Vessels.
• Technical clarification of vendor response & queries.
• Technical Bid evaluation of Vendors, ensure vendors provide timely & quality input into design packages.
• Kick of meeting & Pre bid meeting with vendors.
• Ensure that the documents/drawings are developed in line with Pre-Engineering, Project statement of requirements, Company General Specifications & ensure that all comments as agreed are duly incorporated by the sub contractors/vendors.
• Responsible for expediting, vendor management, document review & control, vendor design verification, other discipline input & testing of equipments.
• Interface & regularly meet the vendor representative, ensure that progress of project in accordance to schedule, allotted man hours & budgeted cost.
• Communicate with clients and consultants concerning specific issues.
• Provide inputs for the preparation of plot plans & coordinate with other discipline in integration of date inputs.
• Static equipments handled includes Instrument air surge drum, Cooling water expansion drum, Blow down drums, KO Drums, Flash Drums, Raw water Filters, Condensate Deaerator, , FWKO & Test Separators, HP Steam separator (85 mm thick.), Cyclone Separator, Fuel gas Separator, Blow down exchanger, Condensate tank, Demin water storage tank & Boiler Feed Water tank (Fixed conical roof up to 72 meter dia.)
• Preparation of Design Criteria, Invitation to bid (ITB), Contractor Scope of work & documents delivery matrix & MTO
• Preparing Construction Work Package (CWP) for demolition or revamp of Tanks & Equipments
• Technical evaluation of bids & conducting bid clarification sessions.
• Liaise with discipline Engineers, Engineering coordinators, Engineering contractors, vendors as required in support of Engineering activities.
• Review of Vendor drawings & design calculations for Pressure Vessels, Tanks & Heat Exchangers.
• Coordinate with Client & vendors for different issues & provide project engineering support to team leader,
• Monitor vendor manufacturing progress, verify equipment manufacturing procedure & testing & final dispatch to site.
• Provide a weekly report to Engineering manager regarding Mechanical Static discipline activities.
• Static Equipments includes HPPT, storage tanks & vessels, etc.
• Perform engineering calculations, in accordance with International Codes as well as standards and specific project requirements.
• Preparing bill of materials & Technical Delivery conditions for ordering raw material.
• To support engineering team in the preparation of detailed drawings & Control of fabrication drawings
• Preparation of Cutting plan to minimize material losses.
• Estimation for fabrication of the equipments, piping & preparation of technical bids.
• Providing Technical support for production & QC departments
• Attending to enquiries and preparation of quotations/offers
• Co-ordination with vendors, customers and inspection authorities like ARAMCO, SABIC, ABS, etc.
• Attend client meetings as & when required to identify the design requirements
• Develop Design Calculations for pressure vessels & tanks
• Communicate with clients and consultants concerning specific design issues.
• Preparation of mechanical design & drawing to meet the agreed standards and functional requirements
• Checking of Isometric drawings, piping layout, and bill of materials and update & modify the drawings & design as per field changes notes
• Preparing Design & Drawing of Static Equipment, in accordance with International Codes and industry standards.
• Preparing bill of materials & cutting plan
• Active technical co-operation with the shop floor.
• Coordinate with Client & all departments for execution of job.
• Preparing bill of material for estimation & ordering.
• Supervision in fabrication shop, plate work and machine shop.
• Monitoring of production activities and carrying inspection at all stages and preparing inspection reports.
• Support in estimation project cost.
