I am working as a sr. Operations Engineer for Crude and Vacuum distillation unit, Naphtha Hydrotreating unit, Kerosene Hydrodesulfurization unit and Diesel hydrodesulfurization unit.
My main duty is to ensure the units are all running safely with producing on spec products. Part of my responsibilities are as following:
1. Ensure all activities are done with respecting safety rules.
2. ensure all products are within the required specifications.
3.optimize the energy consumptions.
4. ensure all equipment are running within the healthy parameters.
5. optimize the catalyst life cycle.
6. optimize the vacuum column packing life cycle.
7. Lead the preparations of the planned shutdowns.
8. Lead the incident investigations and RCA's.
9. Lead major shutdowns and turnarounds.
10. Train and lead Junior Engineers .
11. Conduct Risk analysis, Hazard identifications and HAZOP.
12. troubleshoot and study process and operations issues and prepare and conduct corrective actions.
13. evaluate and react to the other divisions recommendations and requirements.
14. Optimize and correct the unit control systems.
Ensure safe and smooth units operation.
Lead incident investigations and RCA.
Plan and lead units shutdowns.
Report the Area KPI
I got my degree in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Menirals. I had my Coop training at PetroRabigh. My major GPA is 2.76
