OWNER/CHIEF CONSULTANT at U&I HOSPITALITY CONSULTANTS
  • Pakistan
  • November 2015 to February 2020

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES Having worked as a Freelance Consultant in Dubai between 2012 and January 2017, I had the privilege of collaborating with local and multi-national organizations seeking to enter the UAE market in the F&B, FMCG, and Retail sectors. During my time as a Consultant, my primary responsibilities included analyzing the UAE market to align it with the unique characteristics of each brand, providing invaluable insights into the rules and regulations governing their operations, and guiding them through the necessary steps prior to entering this vibrant and promising market. From marketing platforms to procurement and recruitment options, I ensured that my clients were well prepared to navigate the complexities of a new market. LAHORE, PAKISTAN My experience was not limited to Dubai alone. In Lahore, Pakistan, I have had the opportunity to work on a range of projects, contributing to the establishment of new themed cafes, offering procurement guidance for restaurant equipment, suggesting interior design layouts, and formulating comprehensive pre and post-opening marketing strategies, all while catering to the specific needs of my clients who were new to the Hospitality Business. One of the proudest moments of my career was being part of the pre-launch consultancy for the franchisee of Gloria Jean's Coffees in Pakistan, a venture that materialized into a state-of-the-art location nestled in the picturesque mountains of Murree. The branch, which opened its doors in June 2016, has become a quintessential stop for tourists, enhancing the Gloria Jean's brand presence and contributing to the local economy. With multiple multinational restaurant chains in my portfolio, I believe that my experience, dedication, and passion for the hospitality industry align well with U&I Hospitality Consultants' mission and vision. I am excited about the prospect of potentially joining your esteemed team and contributing to the remarkable success stories that U&I Hospitality Consultants continues to create.

GROUP GENERAL MANAGER at BIRYANI EXPRESS
  • Kuwait
  • November 2017 to October 2018

I was thrilled to have joined as their Group General Manager, and I'm eager to share the exciting developments and initiatives I had embarked upon across our diverse portfolio of brands. With a strong focus on expansion, innovation, and operational excellence, I was fully committed to driving sustainable growth and elevating our presence in the market. Biryani Express Expansion: One of my primary responsibilities is to expand our beloved restaurant chain, Biryani Express, from a single unit to six branches across Qatar. Alongside this, we are establishing a central kitchen and a Catering Department to cater to a wider audience. My goal is to introduce new and innovative techniques that not only ensure brand sustainability but also contribute to a robust bottom line. Jasmine Trading House: At Jasmine Trading House, we had set our sights on becoming a prominent player in the local market for Frozen Foods, including Burgers, Nuggets, and Frozen Chicken. Additionally, we were importing high-quality Cooking Oils from well-established brands worldwide. As part of our growth strategy, we planned to expand our product offerings in response to the local market demand. From planning and executing the business plan to developing a dedicated Sales Team and managing day-to-day operations, our journey was one of purposeful expansion and market penetration. Within a short span of 3 months, we successfully launched the new company, completing all legal documentation, staff hiring, training, and development. Additionally, we established market penetration to over 130+ locations, spanning A Class, B Class, and neighborhood stores. This achievement was made possible by our small yet dedicated team, reflecting our shared commitment to excellence. Peaberry Coffee Project: The Peaberry Coffee project was a particularly unique and exciting endeavor. Our aim was to prepare Specialty Coffee with self-roasting facility in Qatar. By leveraging our passion for quality and a commitment to the art of coffee, we were poised to create a remarkable coffee experience that would sets us apart in the market.
