Obtained all necessary clearances, approvals and permissions from the statutory authorities and regulated the submission of samples, shop drawings, design details, work procedures, method statements, schedules and programs.

Client- Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation

Responsibilities
To ensure timely completion of project within approved budget on cost, resources without compromising on Quality and Safety
• Liasoning with the consultant and client for the MEP works approval.
• Delivering Project against agreed scope, schedule and customer expectation.
• Escalating promptly any issues that may impact operations.
• Managing client expectations by ensuring the delivery of highest quality service.
• Monitoring Staff & team performance
• Managing Project Deliverables in line with the project plan.
• Managing project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary.
• Prepare periodic reports for management including status of budgets, variance/ change claims, schedules, disputes, upcoming activities and safety records.
• Ensures all technical aspects of projects are strictly complied with and in conformity with terms of contract, Particular Specifications, General Specification, Contract Drawings and BOQ.
• Ensure that the health and safety requirements are provided and that they comply with related regulations.
• Provide guidance, managerial, technical support to complete project team.
• Coordinating with Head Office for critical issues related to site activities.

• Handling project’s execution plans after discussion with consultants and clients.
• Review of the estimate / tender for the project, in conjunction with the project team, to fully determine and understand the conditions, requirements, deliverables, risks and liabilities of the works as defined and awarded by the client, and try minimizing the cost of the project on our behalf.
• Assessment and organization of the resources necessary to execute the project in a safe, efficient and Profitable manner, both in the Head office and the site location.
• Ensure the safe and efficient execution of installation, testing and commissioning works in accordance with the agreed installation methodology to the client's quality and program requirements and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Achieving Maximum utilization of materials, plant and labor.
• Establishing a productive and harmonious working relationship with the client, achieving a clear Definition of all of their client's responsibilities concerning design and co-ordination activities and develop contract opportunities.
• Depth Study of drawings, specifications and providing technical clearance to subordinates such as site engineers / site foremen.
Coordinating with main contractors and consultants regarding all related MEP activities and services.
• Developing effective systems for accomplishing project goals, in the context of convention planning to meet client project timeframes and outcomes.
• Arranging timely obtaining of all clearances, approvals, permissions, etc. as required from time to time from any of the statutory authorities during the execution phase of the Project.
• Developing mutual understanding related to details of the contractor quality system including QC operations, inspections, administration of the system and interrelationship of the QA/QC of the Contractor.
• Preparing budget, financial reports, as well as approving and reviewing expenditures.
• Ensuring that the Inspection/Testing Plan is carried out as per the specifications, drawings, submittals, etc.
Responsibility includes the review of design/ drawings, specifications and schedule for new building installation and most of the work is to be performed within the time period allotted to the contractor. Coordinate actual construction by appointing necessary supervision team. Monitors distribution of site instructions, weekly and monthly progress reports, and payments certificates for the works carried out. Inspect the work at the time of practical and final completion and monitor the defects. Attends group and section coordinate meetings and also site meetings if required. Assists in preparation for new standard specifications and particular specifications on all jobs. Inspects works on regular basis and prepare report on the quality and the quantity of the output, and also quality of supervision rendered by the section. Report to Head, electrical service group of the works under construction allocated to the group and also regarding the performance of the contractors and place them in appropriate categories. To follow up the client's requirement, in case any change in the design during construction. Follows up approval with local authorities. Initiates variation orders in collaboration with Quantity surveyor and passes for approval of the Group Head. Draft all correspondences letters to contractor, client, local authorities etc. Participates in achieving the Directorate's strategic and annual objectives.
Responsibility includes Planning, Design, engineering and execution of Electrical Systems including power supply distribution, Low Current systems, Fire Alarm & Central Battery System, CCTV System, Access Control System, CO Detection System, BMS System and Communication system. Co-ordination with consultant, main contractor & subcontractors for the smooth progress of the project. Preparation of budget estimates for labour, Materials & Equipment requirements. Preparation of method statements and control schedules for materials / subcontractors. Handling of project coordination and documentation with clients / consultants. Obtaining approvals for any variations from drawings / specifications having time and cost implifications. Placements of orders, material and drawing approval from the consultant. Scrutiny and approval of working drawings submitted by the contractor / supplier to comply with the specification and generally accepted practice. Preparation of job status report, work progress report, material status report etc. Viewing and making recommendation regarding contract specification, drawings and BOQ. Reviewing subcontractor invoices and claims for any cost or time variations.
Responsibility includes material submittals, preparation of shop drawings and all electrical installation, inspection, testing, Commissioning & maintenance for 33 kV / 415V Sub-Stations including all electrical equipment like switchboards, panels, distribution boards, cable trays. Conduiting for point wiring, indoor lighting, lightning protection system, External lighting, UPS system, D.G set, Air conditioning & Ventilation system, Fire detection & Suppression system & earthing systems. Implementation of ISO-14001 during the project.
Responsibility includes installation and commissioning of various range of uninterrupted power supply units for main and ancillary buildings like utilities area, laboratory and administrative block. Major responsibility is to lead the team from the front. Supervise day to day activities at site.
Responsibility includes electrical projects estimation, job scheduling, collection of basic detail and design of preliminary electrical distribution scheme for the complete plant from substation to lighting and power distribution, based on approved scheme then preparation of detail electric layout / schematic drawing of sub-station, low voltage distribution system etc., maintaining British standard during the execution of electrical work, coordination with local authorities, attending site progress meeting, writing reports, follow safety regulation, material inspection at factory, managing site manpower and report to the project manager for site progress.
Responsibility includes site electrical works, preparation of budget estimates for labour, materials and equipment, placement of orders, material and drawing approval from the consultant, attending site progress and coordination meeting, preparation of job status, work progress, material status report. Reviewing monthly subcontractor's monthly invoices and claims for any cost or time variations. Reporting to the project manager on daily basis about the site progress
