I have overseen the project to redesign and restructure the Finance Department of Shared Services in Oman for all finance and accounting-related tasks and am responsible for ensuring that the new organization and all newly created rules and procedures are followed. I managed a complicated group of internal and external stakeholders and regularly communicated with them, submitted reports, clarified needs, and so on. I also oversaw tasks related to banks, such as monitoring and initialing all bank-related papers before the relevant signatories sign them, maintaining bank facilities, and monitoring and controlling cash flow. I am involved in analyzing financial reports and data and presenting conclusions to senior management and working directly with the regional CEO on cash flow management and fund-raising plans. Assists in analyzing operating unit results for each month and assists in developing appropriate follow-up and business responses. Performs monthly assessment and follow-up of operating unit reporting and capital expenditure within the region. Coordinates and leads the development of budgets and financial forecasts and prepares monthly management reports and audited financial statements.
Key achievements/projects
The completion of the ERP pre-implementation phase includes conducting a thorough gap analysis and establishing specific system requirements, as well as planning and developing integration and preparing for data migration.
Successful completion of a complete reorganization of the Group's Finance shared services department based in Oman. Project tasks included the creation of simplified procedures and regulations while maintaining the highest level of internal control without compromising corporate operations.
Created departmental SOPs and performed the necessary gap analysis for the Oracle R12 ERP implementation
Revolutionized the group's budgeting process by moving from Excel-based budgeting to a fully automated system in a cloud environment.
Led a thorough group-wide planning exercise and the development of a 5-year business plan, including strategic business objectives and initiatives, capital investment/expansion plans, monthly income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
At the group level, I supported the group CFO as a senior financial analyst, analyzing both current and historical patterns for all revenue, cost of sales, expense and investment categories, as well as investigating causes of unexpected volatility, discovering patterns and tracking key performance metrics. I also worked with the financial controllers to maintain good budget and planning control and assisted the organizations in developing 5-year business plans. I monitored Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the monthly results and developed risk and opportunity charts in the forecasting process to identify deviations from the annual budgets. Prepared and presented monthly financial reports and analysis.
I conducted ad hoc reporting, research and analysis as required by senior management and developed financial models and analysis to support strategic objectives. Also Assisted the CFO in conducting and overseeing the annual external audit of the Group to ensure that the audited FS were published on time and that all our audit requirements were met as I was the key person leading the annual audit of the Group.

As a finance department representative, i worked very closely with the group strategy department and the IT department on a project to centralize the procurement department for one of the group's largest business units.
Created numerous analytical reports and dashboards for the group's financial and performance reports, which are viewed by the owners and senior management, using Microsoft Power BI.
Prepared the required financial models with "what-if" analyses to support feasibility studies for new projects, and assisted in the review of feasibility studies prepared by others, and provided the required reports with comments, observations and recommendations to senior management.

Key achievements/projects
Help the company reduce 95% of the huge old WIP "unbilled receivables" by revising the financial policies and procedures in the organisation. By properly invoicing clients, the company was able to recover 90% of the invoiced work and subsequently recover tens of millions of dollars in accruals for these receivables. This was my Green Belt Lean Six Sigma project.
I led the collections team and increased collections by 13% year-on-year, while maintaining receivables at the same level as previous years, despite billing € 45 million more in previous years because the old unbilled receivables issue was resolved.
Assisted in the development of long-term business strategies by using information and data on market trends and sentiments to identify opportunities and key corrective and preventive actions.
Completion of the scoping and GAP analysis study for the implementation of \[Oracle WIP module\] and other software and creation of a comprehensive CRM software implementation strategy, taking into account ROI, cost-benefit and other studies.
Provided advanced training on finance for non-finance managers for the department heads and other key staff of the company. The satisfaction survey showed that the training on "Finance for Non-Financial Managers" was 100% satisfactory.
Reviewed monthly budget reports and ensured that all projects were carried out within the allocated budgets.
