PECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Activities design and planning
• With the technical support of the WPE PM and Deputy PM for Partnerships & Mobile Activities, proposes prevention and community outreach activities and leads their implementation.
• Develops monthly and weekly schedules for awareness sessions, home visits, community events, meetings and service delivery, based on engagement with community leaders and CBOs.
• Develop weekly movement plans which are shared with the WPE PM and Deputy PM for Partnerships & Mobile Activities, as well as Operations staff.
• With the technical support of the WPE PM and Deputy PM for Partnerships & Mobile Activities ensures implementation of all planned activities in a timely manner, including awareness raising and information sessions, home visits, events in the community, and mobile service delivery.
• With the technical support of the WPE PM and Deputy PM for Partnerships & Mobile Activities, plays an active role in the design and development of “information, education and communication” (IEC) materials.


Internal and External Coordination
• Promotes successful and strong relationship with local CBOs, community leaders and other local actors at the field level (Mafraq, Irbid, Ramtha) in order to properly support service provision and program activities.
• Attends field coordination meetings as needed.
• Promotes strong collaboration, including effective referrals, between community workers and outreach counselors, as well as between the whole community outreach team and the response staff (counselors) who are based in the women’s centers and clinics.

Community Worker, Volunteer & Outreach Counsellor supervision
• Ensure that all Community Workers and Volunteers know, understand and follow best GBV practices and standards, including the Inter Agency Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the referral pathways.
• Ensure that all Community Workers understand and make use of best practices in community discussions around GBV, available services through their familiarization with the GBV Basics.
• Conduct individual meetings with each Community Worker on a bi-weekly basis and share feedback and recommendations with the DPM and the PM.
• Organize bi-weekly team staff meetings and share feedbacks and recommendations with the DPM and the PM.
• Attend awareness sessions and provide feedback and mentoring based on observations to staff/volunteers help improve facilitation.
• Provide ongoing supervision to Outreach Counsellors in order to support them in following GBV best practice guidelines & standards including GBV SOPs, and referral pathways.
• Meet with each Outreach Counselor on bi-weekly basis, to ensure they are receiving appropriate technical support, and to ensure they are managing their work appropriately. Share feedback and recommendations with the DPM, PM, and with the Service Delivery Specialist.
• Check files of Outreach Counsellors each month to ensure all cases are properly documented.
• Coordinate with the Senior Capacity-Building Officer - Service Delivery to ensure Outreach Counsellors receive appropriate technical feedback on the specific content of their case files, as well as targeted direct technical mentoring/coaching support from the Senior Capacity-Building Officer - Service Delivery.
• Attend group counseling/adolescent girls groups for Outreach Counsellors/Community Workers, and provide feedback based on observations to help improve facilitation (note: this is only if the Senior Outreach Officer is the same sex of the Outreach Counsellor/Community Worker and beneficiary group).

Documentation and reporting
• Ensure that all community workers provide weekly and monthly data and narrative reports.
• Collect and send compiled weekly and monthly data and narrative reports to the Deputy Program Manager: Partnerships & Mobile Activities and the Program Manager.

Community Mobilization Officer at Danish Refugee Council

-Maintain a good relationship with the municipalities and government institutions in Irbid.
-Ensure that Project’s communications materials (e.g. banners) are visible and present in all events, trainings, ceremonies etc.
-Keep an up to date record of major events in the governorate and report on them when necessary.
- Submit required weekly and monthly reports by the deadlines.
-Support office maintenance and logistics when necessary.
-Participate and engage in any Project’s trainings and meetings as requested by supervisor.
-Ensure cross-program integration, learning, sharing and adoption of best practices from other DRC activities and teams.
