Finance manager
Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll , invoicing and other Transactions.
Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants.
Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary.
Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
Research and analyze financial reports and market trends
Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long term and short-term decision making.
Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.
Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes .
Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company . Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
Review the Accounts of Companies and Organizations to ensure the validity and legality of their financial records.
Act in an advisory role to recommend possible risk aversion measures and cost savings that could be made .
Examine company accounts and financial control systems.
Examining the money transactions inflow and outflow of organizations and making sure it is recorded and processed correctly.
Collecting, checking and analyzing spreadsheet data.
Gauging levels of financial risk within organizations.
Checking that the records and financial reports are accurate and reliable.
Ensuring that assets are safeguarded.
Identifying if and where processes are not working as they should and advising on changes to be made.
Preparing reports, commentaries and financial statements.
Liaising with managerial staff and presenting findings and recommendations.
Ensuring procedures, policies, legislation and regulations are correctly followed and complied with.
Undertaking reviews of wages.
Sometimes visit factory or warehouse locations in order to make stock and equipment checks
