Responding to medical/health problems presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate
Attending and assisting at scheduled surgeries, contingency operations and special medical investigations
Taking a patient’s medical history, and updating charts and patient information to show current findings and treatments
Ordering tests for nurses or other healthcare staff to perform, and reviewing test results to identify any abnormal findings
Addressing concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being. Also, help patients take care of their health by discussing topics such as proper nutrition and hygiene
Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality
Promoting health education in conjunction with other health professionals
