• Act as the central liaison between staff, physicians, managers and other hospital departments.
• Answer patient calls to the desk and make sure all messages are received and telephone calls answered.
• Manage patient records — both paper and electronic — and check charts for required signatures, while protecting the patients' privacy and following MOH regulations.
• Provides information by answering questions and requests.
• Establishes patient record by preparing folder; assigning patient number; completing patient identification information.
• Documents patient care services by copying nursing and physician notes to patient and department records.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects hospital operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains unit supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserves unit resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Document all calls with regards to participant inquires accurately using Call Tracking System.
• Monitor Call Tracking for responses from administrative team so call returns are done in a timely fashion.
• Follow-up with participants within a 24-hour period in regards to the initial phone call.
• Even if it is to just touch base and let participant know inquiry is still be researched.
• Provide quality customer service on every call.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with participants.
• Promote good listening skills.
• Manage length of calls.
• Recognizing and managing assertive customer calls.
• Promote teamwork and call center success.
• Review monthly publication of Effective Telephone Techniques.
• Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member.
• Meet and greet clients and visitors.
• Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office.
• Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
• Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system.
• Sign for and distribute UPS/Fed Ex/Airborne packages.
• Research, price, and purchase office furniture and supplies.
• Coordinate and maintain records for staff office space, phones, parking, company credit cards and office keys.
• Setup and coordinate meetings and conferences.
• Maintain and distribute staff weekly schedules.
• Collect and maintain PC inventory.
• Support staff in assigned project based work.
• Provide office orientation for new employees.
The Bachelor of Technology degree is a professional engineering {undergraduate} degree awarded after completion of four years of engineering study and research.
