• Prioritize production schedule based on profitability, due delivery dates to customers and contribution of different products on plant operating hour basis.
• Coordinate with purchase, production and sales departments and resolve production problems on time to maximize production and meet revenue targets and escalate unresolved issues to senior management.
• Monitor actual production and update the production data in the system, ensure that finished products are packed and kept ready for dispatch as per delivery schedule
• Assimilate information of new sales orders and outstanding sales orders, for export and domestic requirements, and already planned for production but yet to be manufactured of polyethylene, ethylene glycol, polypropylene and pyrolysis gasoline.
• Consolidate product wise orders according to required delivery schedules committed to the customers and plant wise production capacities available for every stage of production.
• Conduct daily meeting to keep track of production schedules and inform the customers in advance in case of any delay in execution of their orders.
• Ensure that the products ready for dispatch meet quality specifications and arrange proper segregation and reporting of non-conforming products.
• Optimize plant utilization for ensuring maximum productivity to reduce cost of production by minimizing set up time and cost.
• Execute projects to improve quality of products and improve process control and ensure that all the activities are carried out within due timeline.
• Coordinate and arrange procurement of input materials to meet production plan, project and maintenance activities as per actual requirements.
• Focus on process and operational safety to achieve long terms safety records and reach milestones in employee lost time injury records.
• Ensure implementation of a wide range of safety, health and environment practices and procedures to minimize likelihood of minimum damage to the environment.
• Identified areas of improvement in productivity and efficiency to recommend process and equipment modifications and alterations to increase profitability.
• Studied production planning process to find scope and logic of introducing new planning concepts to improve utilization of plant and machinery.
• Assisted production planning engineers in preparation of production plan and schedule by collection of data on customer orders, outstanding orders and production.
• Studied and assessed safety hazards and risks in new activities to be introduced in the plant and prepared suitable safe work procedures for implementation to prevent accidents and incidents.
• Examined the existing safety, health and environment practices and procedures to identify gaps, if any and recommended additional steps and points for inclusion.
