Duties and responsibilities as a HVAC and fire fighting project
engineer

• Installation, testing and commissioning of All HVAC and fire fighting
systems according to ASHRAE and NFPA.
• Installation, testing and commissioning of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps
• Fabrication & Erection of Ducting as per SMACNA Standard,
• Supervision of Duct & Pipes lines Thermal insulation, & Aluminum
cladding Supervision of under deck, Room Acoustic & Duct lining

• Assist in the review of materials to ensure that they are in accordance with the specifications and provide feedback.
• Assist in the review of shop drawings to ensure that they are in accordance with the design and that they are coordinated.
• Attend coordination meetings and anticipate potential problem areas and solve them before they occur.
• Prepare job site instructions for the Site foreman to facilitate the work.
• Inspect deliveries/installed/constructed work to ensure that it is in accordance with the shop drawings and the specifications and report to the
project manager.
• Preparation of Material Take off Schedules as per approved shop drawings
received from Design Department with review of project Specification.
• Submission of Material Takeoff Schedule to the Procurement Department for Purchase, after the approval of Project Manager.
• Planning of Manpower Requirement & training the manpower if not
skilled.
• Distribution of job to the Foreman & Technician & follow up for the earliest finish as per schedule.
• Preparation & taking approval of necessity documents from safety
department before start the job.
• Planning of work Schedule for easy flow of work without any obstruction to other activities on site.
• Planning of Equipment require for the execution of job.
• Inspection of Materials before Execution.
• Preparation and assessment of daily progress report and coordinating
progress review meetings.
• Attending weekly Meetings with Client, Co-Ordination with Client.
• Co-ordination of Pre commissioning activities.
• Preparation of Handover Documents.
• Material procurement and submittals preparation.
• Attending the Site Meetings with Clients/Consultant/Subcontractors
• Coordinating with Architect and Electrical Engineers.
• Experienced in using computer Application's like Microsoft Office (Ms-
Word/Excel/Power point) for preparation of reports, viewing data and various presentation etc., e-mailing and AutoCAD for HVAC and fire
fighting drawings.
• Labour management, control and assigning work on day to day basis.
