Position: Piping QA/QC Inspector
Duties and responsibilities:
• Review of P & ID's, Piping Plans and Isometric Drawings
• Preparation of Quality Plans according to Inspection Test Plan.
• Review of method statement and Inspection Test Plan with respect to project specification.
• Carrying out Inspection activities in accordance with Inspection and Test Plan.
• Reviewing radiographic films, witnessing PT, MPI and UT and also ensure that required NDE has been covered as per the project specification.
• Inspect joint preparation, joint configuration, and cleanliness and preheat temperature as per WPS.
• Visual examination of welded joints root passes, penetration, excessive reinforcement, undercut, cracks and porosity.
• Monitoring and Inspecting the prefabrication works by the subcontractors including the inspection of incoming materials, material handling, heat number transfer, fit-up, Hardness test, PMI.
• Ensure satisfactory identification of materials, proper protection of piping and fittings. Verify proper size and schedule of pipe, proper rating and face of flanges.
• Ensure that pipe supports, hangers and guides have been installed in accordance with the piping drawings and the pipe supports details.
• Punch listing of piping packages for category A, B and C.
• Monitoring the QA/QC documentation of contractors and ensure that all the activities are incorporated to their system on daily basis and can be traced according to our requirements.
• Issuing NCR's when the contractors noted non-conformity activities.
• Reviewing line history sheet and ensure that all required NDE examination, PMI, PWHT and Hardness Test shall be performed prior to final system pressure testing unless otherwise specified by engineering.
• Check and assure that all joints are exposed for examination during pressure test. Ensure that isolation or disconnection of equipment not to be tested. Check vents are open when filling and draining lines.

• Witness final pressure tests, including verification that pressure gauges have adequate dial range and is calibrated. Verify that the testing pressure does not exceed the allowable pressure of any equipment on the system. Verify that the required test pressure was maintained for the specified length of time without any leakage.
• Confirm repairs, re-testing and re-inspection in accordance with the specifications. Ensure blinds removed and correct gaskets are installed.
• Confirm that instrument-tubing connections are reconnected. Ensure removal of hanger shipping bolts. Check that the pipe supports and hangers are completed and ready for operation, verify proper insulation and installation. Verification of closed punched items and conduct walkthrough for each completed piping system prior to mechanical acceptance
• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering From Osmania University, Additional Qualification: • ASNT CERTIFICATION: NDE Certification as per American Society for Non Destructive Testing on Ultrasonic Testing, Penetration Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing and Radiographic Interpretation. • Radiographic Interpretation (RI) - ASNT LEVEL II CERTIFICATION
